Domestika – Editorial Photography for Magazines
Free Download Editorial Photography for Magazines by Jorge Alvariño, Photographer
Lights, camera.photo! Learn how to carry out an editorial portrait session step by step for the cover of a magazine, from the pre-production to the final touches, following the techniques and tricks of renowned photographer Jorge Alvariño.
Editorial portraiture is a discipline within photography that allows us to approach a working method that serves us for any type of photo shoot. The idea of the course is to learn to take portraits with flash lighting and continuous light, detailing the workflow from start to finish so that it can be applied not only to portrait work but also to any photography project in the future.  Start with the pre-production: analyze the assignment, the medium where you are going to publish, and the needs of the photo shoot—and think about the concept of the shoot, of course.  Once the preliminary work is completed, accompany Jorge in the studio to take photographs using three different light sources: a studio flash, a strobist flash, and continuous light. Remember that this course is 100% online, so you do not need to get up from your chair to go to a studio yourself. Observe and take note.
