Capital Markets Perspectives over the Last Decade
Free Download Capital Markets: Perspectives over the Last Decade by Stefano Caselli, Stefano Gatti
English | July 1, 2023 | ISBN: 8831322850 | 248 pages | PDF | 17 Mb
This book, published on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Equita, is the result of the 10-year collaboration between Equita and Bocconi to carry out research and studies on capital markets. Well before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the overall evidence showed that capital markets in Italy were still underdeveloped. In fact, the past decade was characterized by serious weaknesses in the structure and functioning of these markets. The lack of a robust financial infrastructure of capital markets, the need to strengthen the investor base, and flaws in the intermediation structure of capital markets were clear factors of competitive disadvantage for Italy vis-à-vis other European countries. Today, the financial and macroeconomic scenario has dramatically changed. The geopolitical tensions brought about by the Russian-Ukrainian war, the new inflationary scenario and the quantitative tightening of central banks worldwide have put an end to a period of inflated prices on financial assets. The effects on Italian capital markets have been immediate, and rather painful.

Narrator: James Patrick Robinson

A New York Times bestselling author and leading expert on market risk argues that seismic shifts in the global economy will trigger a multi-trillion-dollar migration of wealth, outlining new rules of investing for the forward-thinking. From Wall Street to the White House, the fantasy of an eventual "return to normal" is still alive and well, nurtured by dangerously outdated theories. But the economic world as we know it-and the rules that govern it-are over. In the coming decade, we'll witness sustained inflation, a series of sovereign and corporate debt crises, and a thundering of capital out of financial assets into hard assets. Few are prepared. In How to Listen When Markets Speak, McDonald unveils his unique predictive models, connecting surprising dots between past, present, and future and outlining actionable trading ideas for staying a beat ahead of the markets.

Markets, money and capital Hicksian economics for the twenty–first century
Free Download Roberto Scazzieri, Amartya Sen, Stefano Zamagni, "Markets, money and capital: Hicksian economics for the twenty-first century"
English | 2011 | pages: 466 | ISBN: 0521873215, 0521188792 | EPUB | 2,1 mb
Sir John Hicks (1904-89) was a leading economic theorist of the twentieth century, and along with Kenneth Arrow was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1972. His work addressed central topics in economic theory, such as value, money, capital and growth. An important unifying theme was the attention for economic rationality 'in time' and his acknowledgement that apparent rigidities and frictions might exert a positive role as a buffer against excessive fluctuations in output, prices and employment. This emphasis on the virtue of imperfection significantly distances Hicksian economics from both the Keynesian and Monetarist approaches. Containing contributions from distinguished theorists in their own right (including three Nobel Prize winners), this volume examines Hicks's intellectual heritage and discusses how his ideas suggest a distinct approach to economic theory and policy making. It will be of great interest to scholars and students of economic theory and the history of economic thought.
