Free Download Handbook of Massive Data Sets (Massive Computing) By James Abello, Panos M. Pardalos, Mauricio G. C. Resende English | PDF | 2002 | 1209 Pages | ISBN : 146134882X | 132.26 MB The proliferation of massive data sets brings with it a series of special computational challenges. This "data avalanche" arises in a wide range of scientific and commercial applications. With advances in computer and information technologies, many of these challenges are beginning to be addressed by diverse inter-disciplinary groups, that indude computer scientists, mathematicians, statisticians and engineers, working in dose cooperation with application domain experts. Free Download Bidirectional Comparison of Nominal Sets: Asymmetry of Proximity by Grażyna Szkatuła , Maciej Krawczak English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 218 Pages | ISBN : 3031530950 | 23.3 MB The authors propose a novel measure of proximity between two sets of nominal elements. This measure describes the changes in the first set after adding the second set or changes in the second set after adding the first set. Hence, it seems natural that the consideration of many objectives in the actual decision-making process re quires multiobjective approaches rather than single-objective. One ofthe major systems-analytic multiobjective approaches to decision-making under constraints is multiobjective optimization as a generalization of traditional single-objective optimization. Although multiobjective optimization problems differ from single objective optimization problems only in the plurality of objective functions, it is significant to realize that multiple objectives are often noncom mensurable and conflict with each other in multiobjective optimization problems. With this ob servation, in multiobjective optimization, the notion of Pareto optimality or effi ciency has been introduced instead of the optimality concept for single-objective optimization. However, decisions with Pareto optimality or efficiency are not uniquely determined; the final decision must be selected from among the set of Pareto optimal or efficient solutions. Therefore, the question is, how does one find the preferred point as a compromise or satisficing solution with rational pro cedure? This is the starting point of multiobjective optimization. To be more specific, the aim is to determine how one derives a compromise or satisficing so lution of a decision maker (DM), which well represents the subjective judgments, from a Pareto optimal or an efficient solution set. Free Download Theory of Sets by Nicolas Bourbaki English | PDF | 2004 | 418 Pages | ISBN : 3540225250 | 35.3 MB This series of volumes, a list of which is given on pages vn and VIU, takes up mathematics at the beginning, and gives complete proofs. In principle, it requires no particular knowledge of mathematics on the reader's part, but only a certain familiarity with mathematical reasoning and a certain capacity for abstract thought. Nevertheless, it is directed especially to those who have a good knowledge of at least the content of the first year or two of a university mathematics course.
