Non–Standard Employment and Quality of Work The Case of Italy (2024)
Free Download Tindara Addabbo, Giovanni Solinas, "Non-Standard Employment and Quality of Work: The Case of Italy"
English | 2012 | pages: 283 | ISBN: 3790828351, 3790821055 | PDF | 4,4 mb
The international literature on non-standard employment has mostly focussed on its impact on employment, and more recently on working and living conditions. This volume explores these issues with special reference to Italy. Italy is characterized by very low participationrates (particularly women's), a high degree of fragmentation of labour contracts and a very intense non-standard work diffusion that make this context a particularly interesting case for analysis. New elements of discussion are provided with reference to the interaction ofnon-standard work, employment probability and living conditions. Interesting insights on the impact of non-standard work on the transition to stable employment and workers' careers emerge, suggesting a possible failure of companies' internal systems of work evaluation. The effects on labour productivity and on companies' performance are analysed. Within this framework, a new perspective on quality of work is suggested.

Geometric Tolerancing Standard to Machine Design A Design–for–Fit Approach
Free Download Geometric Tolerancing Standard to Machine Design: A Design-for-Fit Approach by Faryar Etesami
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 333 Pages | ISBN : 3031475844 | 66.9 MB
This book is for students enrolled in undergraduate mechanical engineering, or similar, programs. The material presented is based on nearly thirty years of class-tested lecture notes for courses on the applications of geometric tolerancing for designers. The book's emphasis is on fit requirements for machine components, as fit assurance makes up the majority of challenging applications in tolerancing. For design engineers, knowing how to apply geometric tolerances has been a challenge even for engineers who have practiced geometric tolerancing for a long time. The syntax and meaning of geometric tolerancing statements can be learned easily and quickly, but knowing how to use them correctly is much more difficult. In the Design-for-Fit approach, the presentation starts with the geometric requirements for various kinds of fit and then presents the geometric tolerance statements necessary to achieve those fits.

Programming in Prolog Using the ISO Standard
Free Download Programming in Prolog: Using the ISO Standard by William F. Clocksin , Christopher S. Mellish
English | PDF | 1981 | 292 Pages | ISBN : 3540110461 | 23.9 MB
The computer programming language Prolog is quickly gaining popularity throughout the world. Since Its beginnings around 1970. Prolog has been chosen by many programmers for applications of symbolic computation. including: D relational databases D mathematical logic D abstract problem solving D understanding natural language D architectural design D symbolic equation solving D biochemical structure analysis D many areas of artificial Intelligence Until now. there has been no textbook with the aim of teaching Prolog as a practical programming language. It Is perhaps a tribute to Prolog that so many people have been motivated to learn It by referring to the necessarily concise reference manuals. a few published papers. and by the orally transmitted 'folklore' of the modern computing community. However. as Prolog is beginning to be Introduced to large numbers of undergraduate and postgraduate students. many of our colleagues have expressed a great need for a tutorial guide to learning Prolog. We hope this little book will go some way towards meeting this need. Many newcomers to Prolog find that the task of writing a Prolog program Is not like specifying an algorithm in the same way as In a conventional programming language. Instead. the Prolog programmer asks more what formal relationships and objects occur In his problem.
