Free Download Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics (Part 2) by Faris Q.B. Alenzi
English | April 20, 2023 | ISBN: 9815124617 | 361 pages | MOBI | 2.44 Mb
Today, treatment options for cancer patients typically include surgery, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy. While these therapies have saved lives and reduced pain and suffering, cancer still takes millions of lives every year around the world. Researchers are now developing advanced therapeutic strategies such as immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and combination nanotechnology for drug delivery. In addition, the identification of new biomarkers will potentiate early-stage diagnosis.

Checkpoint Controls and Targets in Cancer Therapy
Free Download Zahid H. Siddik, "Checkpoint Controls and Targets in Cancer Therapy"
English | 2009 | pages: 276 | ISBN: 1607611775, 1617796352 | PDF | 6,3 mb
Much work over the last two decades has firmly established that loss of cell cycle checkpoint regulation, and resultant unabated cellular proliferation, is an inherent characteristic of cancer. This loss may occur through aberration in any single component involved in signal transduction pathways that orchestrate checkpoint regulation, which may manifest through either a failure to activate the checkpoint or a failure to respond to the activated checkpoint. In normal cells, checkpoint pathways are activated when genetic or cellular homeostasis is compromised, and signals are then transduced to re-stabilize homeostasis, and, failing this, to activate the apoptotic machinery to induce a cellular suicidal response. This implies that both survival and cell death pathways are induced following checkpoint activation, and that the final decision is dependant on the net result of integrating the two sets of signals.

Agreement beyond the Verb Unusual Targets, Unexpected Domains
Free Download Marina Chumakina, "Agreement beyond the Verb: Unusual Targets, Unexpected Domains"
English | ISBN: 019289756X | 2024 | 352 pages | PDF | 4 MB
This book explores unusual patterns of agreement, one of the most intriguing and theoretically challenging aspects of human language. Agreement is typically thought to reflect a structural relationship between a verb and its arguments within the clause, and all major theories of agreement have been developed with the centrality of this relationship in mind. But beyond the verb, items belonging to practically every other part of speech have been found to function as agreement targets, including adpositions, adverbs, converbs, nouns, pronouns, complementizers, and other conjunctions. Data on these targets provide rich insights into the structural domains in which agreement operates, demonstrating that unusual targets can be associated with unexpected domains that are independent of the agreement domain of the verb.

Targets of Terror Contemporary Assassination
Free Download Laura N. Bell Assistant Professor of Political Science West Texas AM University, "Targets of Terror: Contemporary Assassination"
English | ISBN: 1786613913 | 2021 | 194 pages | EPUB, PDF | 5 MB + 4 MB
Targets of Terror addresses the repercussions of assassination as a tactic of terrorism and delineates post-assassination political outcomes across target types. Assassination of heads of state, such as John F. Kennedy and Yitzhak Rabin, are rare events, but the political murders of police personnel, local government officials, politicians, and journalists occur frequently. These "softer" targets are often pursued during broader campaigns of terrorist violence, and the Global Terrorism Database (GTD) records a significant number of these assassination events-16,246 to be exact-between 1977 and 2017.

Therapeutic Drug Targets and Phytomedicine For Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Free Download Therapeutic Drug Targets and Phytomedicine For Triple Negative Breast Cancer by Acharya Balkrishna
English | January 13, 2023 | ISBN: 9815079794 | 228 pages | MOBI | 4.89 Mb
Triple negative breast cancers (TNBC) are a biologically aggressiveform of breast cancer and constitute approximately 10-15% of all breast cancerpatients. Distant metastasis, lack of clinically targeted therapies andprognostic markers, makes the disease difficult to treat. Till now not muchwork has been carried out on this deadly disease. This book provides an overview of TNBC etiology, its treatmentstrategies and prognostic markers to identify the outcome of standard therapies.Signalling pathways namely cell proliferation, angiogenesis, invasion andmetastasis, apoptosis, autophagy and others involved in complicating thedisease have been described in the chapters to convey an understanding aboutthe disease mechanisms. All the possible drugs either in pre-clinical orclinical stages have also been mentioned with data that depicts their efficiencyin targeting altered genes. The book also introduces the reader to herbalmedicine exhibiting high potency to target TNBC, their synthetic analogs usedduring chemotherapy and their ability to fight against chemoresistance. Theconcept of phytonanotechnology has also been discussed. The book helps createawareness among a broad range of readers about TNBC. It points to prioritizingthe upgradation of health care facilities and re-designing future treatmentstrategies to provide maximum benefit to breast cancer patients.
