Camp Roberts
Free Download The California Center for Military History, "Camp Roberts"
English | 2005 | pages: 128 | ISBN: 0738530557, 1531616674 | EPUB | 40,5 mb
Camp Roberts, in the Salinas Valley, is one of California's largest military training camps. Named for a heroic World War I tank driver, it took the threat of global war in 1940 to kick-start its construction. Soon Camp Roberts had a capacity to house and train 23,000 men. During the war, almost half a million men trained here. Row upon row of wooden buildings, replete with churches, stores, a hospital, and an amphitheater where A-list stars performed, made it a mobilized city of 45,000 at its peak. In 1946, it became a ghost town overnight. Revived during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, it passed into National Guard control in 1971. However, all branches of the military continue to train here, and the camp has renewed relevance for troops bound for the Middle East.

The Fourth Amendment in Flux The Roberts Court, Crime Control, and Digital Privacy
Free Download The Fourth Amendment in Flux: The Roberts Court, Crime Control, and Digital Privacy By Michael C. Gizzi, R. Craig Curtis
2016 | 208 Pages | ISBN: 070062256X | PDF | 2 MB
When the Founders penned the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, it was not difficult to identify the "persons, houses, papers, and effects" they meant to protect; nor was it hard to understand what "unreasonable searches and seizures" were. The Fourth Amendment was intended to stop the use of general warrants and writs of assistance and applied primarily to protect the home. Flash forward to a time of digital devices, automobiles, the war on drugs, and a Supreme Court dominated by several decades of the jurisprudence of crime control, and the legal meaning of everything from "effects" to "seizures" has dramatically changed. Michael C. Gizzi and R. Craig Curtis make sense of these changes in The Fourth Amendment in Flux. The book traces the development and application of search and seizure law and jurisprudence over time, with particular emphasis on decisions of the Roberts Court.Cell phones, GPS tracking devices, drones, wiretaps, the Patriot Act, constantly changing technology, and a political culture that emphasizes crime control create new challenges for Fourth Amendment interpretation and jurisprudence. This work exposes the tensions caused by attempts to apply pretechnological legal doctrine to modern problems of digital privacy. In their analysis of the Roberts Court's relevant decisions, Gizzi and Curtis document the different approaches to the law that have been applied by the justices since the Obama nominees took their seats on the court. Their account, combining law, political science, and history, provides insight into the court's small group dynamics, and traces changes regarding search and seizure law in the opinions of one of its longest serving members, Justice Antonin Scalia. At a time when issues of privacy are increasingly complicated by technological advances, this overview and analysis of Fourth Amendment law is especially welcome-an invaluable resource as we address the enduring question of how to balance freedom against security in the context of the challenges of the twenty-first century.

Jason Roberts - Dynamic Programming in C# 10
Jason Roberts | Duration: 2h 42 m | Video: H264 1280x720 | Audio: AAC 48 kHz 2ch | 289 MB | Language: English
C# is a statically typed language but it also has (often overlooked) dynamic features. This course will teach you to use dynamic C# to make some difficult and cumbersome programming tasks easier and allow you to create more flexible C# applications.
The statically typed nature of C# helps prevent bugs but can make some programming tasks harder and some types of applications more difficult to write. In this course, Dynamic Programming in C# 10, you'll gain the ability to make difficult or time-consuming programming tasks easier and help you create applications where data structures are not known at compile time. First, you'll explore how to create and work with dynamic object instances. Next, you'll discover how dynamic C# can make applications easier and quicker to create. Finally, you'll learn how to create your own custom dynamic classes and how to take advance of features from other dynamic languages from right inside your C# code. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of dynamic C# needed to make difficult and cumbersome programming tasks easier and allow you to create more flexible C# applications.

Reading and writing data to streams and files is central to many .NET applications, but it can be confusing. This course will teach you how to perform essential file operations and read and write text, binary, and CSV data to streams and files.
Reading and writing data is central to many .NET applications, but it can be difficult to know which approach to take. In this course, Working with Files in C# 10, you'll gain the ability to read and write data and manage files. First, you'll explore how to manage files and directories stored on disk. Next, you'll discover how to monitor and respond to changes in the file system. Finally, you'll learn how to read, process, and write data in text, binary, and CSV formats. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of C# files and streams needed to read, write, and process data in your C# applications.

Jason Roberts - Class Libraries in C# 10
Jason Roberts | Duration: 2h 21 m | Video: H264 1280x720 | Audio: AAC 48 kHz 2ch | 330 MB | Language: English
Understanding and using class libraries is essential if you want to better organize your code, make it reusable, and make it easily distributable to other developers and teams. This course will teach you how to create, configure, test, and distribute C# class libraries.
Having all your C# code in a single project can be problematic if the project gets too large and hard to understand and maintain. A single project also makes it harder to manage versions of sections of the codebase independently and makes sharing functionality with other developers, teams, and applications difficult. In this course, Class Libraries in C# 10, you'll learn to use class libraries effectively to make your software development process more organized and flexible. First, you'll explore how to create, configure, and test a class library project. Next, you'll discover how to make the class library consumable on different versions of .NET. Finally, you'll learn how to version and package your class library so it is easily consumable by other developers and applications. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of C# class libraries needed to create, organize, and share code.
