![]() Annette Miae Kim, "Sidewalk City: Remapping Public Space in Ho Chi Minh City" English | 2015 | ISBN: 022611922X | PDF | pages: 263 | 49.6 mb For most, the term "public space" conjures up images of large, open areas: community centers for meetings and social events; the ancient Greek agora for political debates; green parks for festivals and recreation. In many of the world's major cities, however, public spaces like these are not a part of the everyday lives of the public. Rather, business and social lives have always been conducted along main roads and sidewalks. With increasing urban growth and density, primarily from migration and immigration, rights to the sidewalk are being hotly contested among pedestrians, street vendors, property owners, tourists, and governments around the world. ![]() Show Me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication (Routledge Communication Series) By Chris Roush 2004 | 451 Pages | ISBN: 0805849548 | PDF | 28 MB Show Me The Money wins on substance. A bit daunting to the eye (this is very much an in-depth text), the book covers the full range of the business journalist -- covering companies, understanding terms, finding source information, getting a grip on the Wall Street marketplace and even understanding economics. The final chapter on internet sources of information is worth the price by itself. My quibbles are minor: the published news stories that are quoted in the book are perhaps unnecessarily long (but readily skimmed) and the writing style occasionally trips the light pedestrian. Those aside, I found this book to be a superb primer. For any early-career business journalist, this substitutes nicely for many hours in either the classroom or the woodshed with your editor. ![]() Sharing Her: 10 New Erotic MFM Short Stories by Candy Quinn English | 2018 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B079YCPK78 | 183 pages | AZW3 | 0.42 Mb I always wanted to have two men at once... ![]() Shared Idioms, Sacred Symbols, and the Articulation of Identities in South Asia By Kelly Pemberton, Michael Nijhawan 2008 | 262 Pages | ISBN: 0415958288 | PDF | 3 MB How do text, performance, and rhetoric simultaneously reflect and challenge notions of distinct community and religious identities? This volume examines evidence of shared idioms of sanctity within a larger framework of religious nationalism, literary productions, and communalism in South Asia. Contributors to this volume are particularly interested in how alternative forms of belonging and religious imaginations in South Asia are articulated in the light of normative, authoritative, and exclusive claims upon the representation of identities. Building upon new and extensive historiographical and ethnographical data, the book challenges clear-cut categorizations of group identity and points to the complex historical and contemporary relationships between different groups, organizations, in part by investigating the discursive formations that are often subsumed under binary distinctions of dominant/subaltern, Hindu/Muslim or orthodox/heterodox.In this respect, the book offers a theoretical contribution beyond South Asia Studies by highlighting a need for a new interdisciplinary effort in rethinking notions of identity, ethnicity, and religion. ![]() Sex Positions: A Complete COLLECTION for Couples to Discover More Intimacy and to Rich Sexual Health. Lusch, "Service-Dominant Logic: Premises, Perspectives, Possibilities" English | ISBN: 0521195675 | 2014 | 252 pages | PDF | 18 MB In 2004, Robert F. Lusch and Stephen L. Vargo published their groundbreaking article on the evolution of marketing theory and practice toward "service-dominant (S-D) logic", describing the shift from a product-centred view of markets to a service-led model. Now, in this keenly anticipated book, the authors present a thorough primer on the principles and applications of S-D logic. They describe a clear alternative to the dominant worldview of the heavily planned, production-oriented, profit-maximizing firm, presenting a coherent, organizing framework based on ten foundational premises. The foundational premises of S-D logic have much wider implications beyond marketing for the future of the firm, transcending different industries and contexts, and will provide readers with a deeper sense of why the exchange of service is the fundamental basis of all social and economic exchange. This accessible book will appeal to students, as well as to researchers and practitioners. ![]() Serial Port Complete: Programming and Circuits for Rs-232 and Rs-485 Links and Networks By Jan Axelson, Lakeview Research 2002 | 322 Pages | ISBN: 0965081974 | PDF | 39 MB I read all the reviews I could find before buying this book, and they lead me to believe that I could find the help I needed to write a small program to control a bank of DVD players via RS232. It allows direct communication with the relational database management system. It acts as a bridge between the application, and the database. If you want to transfer money from your bank to another bank, you log onto the website and fill in the details, then press the Submit button for the work to get processed. Once the button is pressed, the SQL commands (embedded in the application by the developer) are carried out to do the needed tasks. These commands locate your data on the database, and if all the details are correct, the transaction would be carried out. |
