![]() A Companion to Applied Ethics By R. G. Frey, Christopher Heath Wellman 2003 | 705 Pages | ISBN: 1557865949 | PDF | 43 MB This is a really excellent collection of articles on all sorts of really interesting topics in applied ethics. Anyone who thinks that academic philosophers aren't "practical" or aren't concerned with "real world" issues and problems should take a look at this book. It's just full of interesting and important stuff. All the entries I've read are exceedingly clear and well written and provide a great introduction to the topic. I hope it eventually comes out in paperback so it's easier to purchase! ![]() A Brief History of Artificial Intelligence: What It Is, Where We Are, and Where We Are Going by Michael Wooldridge English | January 19th, 2021 | ISBN: 1250770742 | 272 pages | True EPUB | 2.99 MB From Oxford's leading AI researcher comes a fun and accessible tour through the history and future of one of the most cutting edge and misunderstood field in science: Artificial Intelligence ![]() 1000 Words: Science: Build Knowledge, Vocabulary, and Literacy Skills by DK English | January 19th, 2021 | ISBN: 0744026520 | 66 pages | True PDF | 20.51 MB This picture word ebook of 1000 first science words is the perfect STEM book for helping children learn. ![]() 100 Ways to Calm: Simple Activities to Help You Find Peace by Adams Media English | January 19th, 2021 | ISBN: 1507215150 | 176 pages | True EPUB | 23.42 MB Bring peace, serenity, and tranquility to your life with these 100 activities and exercises to stay calm no matter what comes your way! ![]() White Freedom: The Racial History of an Idea (Audiobook) English | ASIN: B08NTTH74J | 2021 | 14 hours and 56 minutes | MP3@64 kbps | 410 MB Author: Tyler Stovall Narrator: Ako Mitchell ![]() This I Know: Marketing Lessons from Under the Influence (Audiobook) English | February 27, 2018 | ASIN: B079ZB11GX | M4B@64 kbps | 9h 10m | 250 MB Author and Narrator: Terry O'Reilly Canada's most famous adman spills a career's worth of marketing secrets, so anyone can compete with the best in their business - whatever that business might be. ![]() The Shakespeare Book: Big Ideas Simply Explained (Audiobook) English | ASIN: B0821QKZXH | 2019 | 16 hours and 36 minutes | MP3@128 kbps | 912 MB Author: DK Narrator: Roger May ![]() The Grey Goose of Arnhem: The Story of the Most Amazing Mass Escape of World War II (Audiobook) English | ASIN: B08S49V9JQ | 2021 | 8 hours and 39 minutes | MP3@64 kbps | 237 MB Author: Leo Heaps Narrator: Chris MacDonnell ![]() The Cultural Revolution: A People's History, 1962-1976 (Audiobook) English | November 08, 2016 | ASIN: B01MPZKLWK | MP3@64 kbps | 14h 19m | 394 MB Author: Frank Dikötter | Narrator: Paul Costanzo After the economic disaster of the Great Leap Forward that claimed tens of millions of lives from 1958-1962, an aging Mao Zedong launched an ambitious scheme to shore up his reputation and eliminate those he viewed as a threat to his legacy. The stated goal of the Cultural Revolution was to purge the country of bourgeois, capitalistic elements he claimed were threatening genuine communist ideology. Young students formed the Red Guards, vowing to defend the Chairman to the death, but soon rival factions started fighting each other in the streets with semiautomatic weapons in the name of revolutionary purity. As the country descended into chaos, the military intervened, turning China into a garrison state marked by bloody purges that crushed as many as one in 50 people. ![]() Alexander Larman, Richard Trinder (Narrator), "The Crown in Crisis: Countdown to the Abdication" English | ASIN: B08GF4347K | 2021 | MP3@64 kbps | ~11:02:00 | 312 MB The thrilling and definitive account of the Abdication Crisis of 1936. On December 10, 1936, King Edward VIII brought a great international drama to a close when he abdicated, renouncing the throne of the United Kingdom for himself and his heirs. The reason he gave when addressing his subjects was that he could not fulfill his duties without the woman he loved - the notorious American divorcee Wallis Simpson - by his side. His actions scandalized the establishment, who were desperate to avoid an international embarrassment at a time when war seemed imminent. That the king was rumored to have Nazi sympathies only strengthened their determination that he should be forced off the throne, by any means necessary. |
