Black Marxism, Revised and Updated: The Making of the Black Radical Tradition, 3rd Edition by Cedric J. Robinson English | February 1st, 2021 | ISBN: 1469663724 | 497 pages | True PDF | 4.02 MB In this ambitious work, first published in 1983, Cedric Robinson demonstrates that efforts to understand Black people's history of resistance solely through the prism of Marxist theory are incomplete and inaccurate. Marxist analyses tend to presuppose European models of history and experience that downplay the significance of Black people and Black communities as agents of change and resistance. Black radicalism, Robinson argues, must be linked to the traditions of Africa and the unique experiences of Blacks on western continents, and any analyses of African American history need to acknowledge this. martin Bernal, "Black Athena: The Afroasiatic Roots of Classical Civilization " English | ISBN: 0813512778 | 1987 | 575 pages | PDF | 32 MB "A work which has much to offer the lay reader, and its multi-disciplinary sweep is refreshing: it is an important contribution to his to historiography and the sociology of knowledge, written with elegance, wit, and self-awareness... a thrilling journey... his account is as gripping a tale of scholarly detection and discovery as one could hope to find." Biostatistics for Animal Science, 3rd Edition by Miroslav Kaps, William R. Lamberson 2017 | ISBN: 1786390353 | English | 568 pages | EPUB | 65 MB Designed to cover techniques for analysis of data in the animal sciences, this textbook provides an overview of the basic principles of statistics, enabling the subsequent applications to be carried out with familiarity and understanding, followed by more complex applications and detailed procedures commonly used in animal sciences. Each chapter begins by introducing a problem with practical questions, followed by a brief theoretical background, and is supplemented with an abundance of examples in SAS from animal sciences and related fields.
Biosecurity in Animal Production and Veterinary Medicine: From principles to practice by Jeroen Dewulf English | PDF | 2019 | 525 Pages | ISBN : 1789245680 | 10.9 MB Globally, the way the animal production industry copes with infectious diseases is changing. The (excessive) use of antimicrobials is under debate and it is becoming standard practice to implement thorough biosecurity plans on farms to prevent the entry and spread of pathogenic micro-organisms. Not only in farm animal production, but also in facilities where companion animals are kept, including in veterinary practices and clinics, awareness of the beneficial implications of a good biosecurity plan has raised. Biology Now with Physiology (Second Edition) by Anne Houtman, Megan Scudellari, Cindy Malone 2018 | ISBN: 0393631796, 0393623351, 0393663582 | English | 624 pages | PDF | 146 MB The perfect balance of science and story Biology (Cliffs AP) By Phillip E. Pack Ph.D. 2001 | 419 Pages | ISBN: 0764586823 | PDF | 3 MB If you are searching for a review book or the AP Biology exam, look no further.. you need to buy this book right now!I recently took the Biology exam and this book has helped me learn material I was not taught in class, or review material I had forgotten. What I like about this book is that every section was not overcrowded with information. All the chapters were short (6-40 pages about) and to the point. All of the topics were explained perfectly that I was never confused about what I was reading. The book comes with useful sample questions at the end of each section so you can test yourself, and the questions and explanations are very helpful. I actually saw one question from the review book on my AP Exam, so you know their information is reliable. The one thing I did not like about this book was the lack of figures, or graphics. I am a visual learner and I would have preferred more descriptive pictures, such as the ones in my actual AP BIO textbook, to better understand concepts. The figures they had were vague. Anyway, they did a great job at enlightening me about plants, a subject I did not learn in class but was prevalent on the exam. Please choose this book for its benefits are enormous and you are guaranteed a 4 or a 5 if you read this book in depth. Biological Aging: Methods and Protocols By Trygve O. Tollefsbol (auth.), Trygve O. Tollefsbol (eds.) 2007 | 414 Pages | ISBN: 158829658X | PDF | 10 MB Biological Aging: Methods and Protocols investigates the various processes that are affected by the age of an organism. Several new tools for the analysis of biological aging have been introduced recently, and this volume provides methods and protocols for these new techniques in addition to its coverage of established procedures. The editors have carefully selected only those topics that are considered mainstays of the field or are showing promise in revolutionizing this relatively new science. The three main areas of focus in this cutting-edge compendium of biological aging research are: methods that are basic to understanding the fundamental mechanisms of cellular aging; techniques used to intervene in the aging process; and approaches to analyzing the many molecular processes of biological aging. Researchers seeking new technology and techniques will find this volume of tremendous benefit as they move towards new directions in the exciting and expanding field of biological aging. Bioconjugation Protocols By Christof M. Niemeyer 2010 | 21 Pages | ISBN: 1617373540 | PDF | 3 MB Expert laboratorians update the classic bioconjugation methods and introduce valuable new techniques that go beyond pure biomedical applications to include elements from advanced organic synthesis, molecular biology, and materials science. These readily reproducible methods cover the preparation of protein conjugates using covalent and noncovalent conjugation, the synthesis of nucleic acid conjugates using a variety of labeling techniques, and approaches to semisynthetic conjugates of proteins. Additional chapters address the biofunctionalization of inorganic surfaces, including the on-chip synthesis of peptide nucleic acids to generate microarrays for the high-throughput analysis of RNA and DNA, gold nanaoparticles, and carbon nanotube probes for atomic force microscopy. |
