Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems for Autonomous Transportation (Internet of Things)
English | 2022 | ISBN: 3030920534 | 289 pages | True PDF EPUB | 46.59 MB
This book provides comprehensive discussion on key topics related to the usage and deployment of AI in urban transportation systems including drones. The book presents intelligent solutions to overcome the challenges of static approaches in the transportation sector to make them intelligent, adaptive, agile, and flexible. The book showcases different AI-deployment models, algorithms, and implementations related to intelligent cyber physical systems (CPS) along with their pros and cons. Even more, this book provides deep insights into the CPS specifically about the layered architecture and different planes, interfaces, and programmable network operations. The deployment models for AI-based CPS are also included with an aim towards the design of interoperable and intelligent CPS architectures by researchers in future. The authors present hands on practical implementations, deployment scenarios, and use cases related to different transportation scenarios. In the end, the design and research challenges, open issues, and future research directions are provided.

Intelligent Crowdsourced Testing
English | 2022 | ISBN: 981169642X | 251 pages | True PDF EPUB | 30.84 MB
In an article for Wired Magazine in 2006, Jeff Howe defined crowdsourcing as an idea for outsourcing a task that is traditionally performed by a single employee to a large group of people in the form of an open call. Since then, by modifying crowdsourcing into different forms, some of the most successful new companies on the market have used this idea to make people's lives easier and better. On the other hand, software testing has long been recognized as a time-consuming and expensive activity. Mobile application testing is especially difficult, largely due to compatibility issues: a mobile application must work on devices with different operating systems (e.g. iOS, Android), manufacturers (e.g. Huawei, Samsung) and keypad types (e.g. virtual keypad, hard keypad). One cannot be 100% sure that, just because a tested application works well on one device, it will run smoothly on all others. Crowdsourced testing is an emerging paradigm that can improve the cost-effectiveness of software testing and accelerate the process, especially for mobile applications. It entrusts testing tasks to online crowdworkers whose diverse testing devices/contexts, experience, and skill sets can significantly contribute to more reliable, cost-effective and efficient testing results. It has already been adopted by many software organizations, including Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft.

Intelligence Analysis Domestic and Foreign Threats Confronting the Biden Administration
English | 2022 | ISBN: 1685078400, 978-1685078409 | 196 pages | True PDF | 16.49 MB
The United States, as the world's sole superpower, is seeing its position wane as China and Russia look to reassert themselves as global powers, especially when seeing what is going on regarding Taiwan and Ukraine. These are significant challenges confronting President Biden and his national security team. Moreover, there are many other security issues confronting the United States. This book is an amalgam of open-source intelligence analyses of countries and non-state actors from around the globe that could hurt the United States. Chapters in this work dissect issues using qualitative analysis techniques focusing on secondary data sources in order to provide an unclassified assessment of threats as seen by the United States using two models (the York Intelligence Red Team Model and the Federal Secondary Data Case Study Triangulation Model). The key audience for this book includes the 18 members of the U.S. intelligence community, members of the U.S. National Security Council, allies of the United States, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) looking to provide support abroad, universities with international relations and intelligence analysis programs, and private sector companies considering expanding their operations overseas.

Integration in Finite Terms Fundamental Sources
English | 2022 | ISBN: 3030987663 | 303 pages | True pdf | 10.65 MB
This volume gives an up-to-date review of the subject Integration in Finite Terms. The book collects four significant texts together with an extensive bibliography and commentaries discussing these works and their impact. These texts, either out of print or never published before, are fundamental to the subject of the book. Applications in combinatorics and physics have aroused a renewed interest in this well-developed area devoted to finding solutions of differential equations and, in particular, antiderivatives, expressible in terms of classes of elementary and special functions.

Integrated Wastewater Management and Valorization using Algal Cultures
English | 2022 | ISBN: 0323858597 | 290 pages | True pdf, epub | 50.49 MB
Integrated Wastewater Management and Valorization using Algal Cultures provides a holistic view on coupled wastewater treatment and biomass production for energy and value-added products using algal cultures. Algal cultures provide low-cost nutrient (nitrogen and phosphorus) treatment and recovery from wastewaters, carbon-dioxide sequestration from waste gases, value-added generation in the form of bio-energy and bio-based chemicals, biosorption of heavy metals and biogas upgrading. The book addresses all these aspects in terms of role of algal cultures in environmental sustainability and circular economy. The production of high value products is addressed through pretreatment and anaerobic co-digestion of wastewater-derived microalgal biomass and microalgal biorefineries. The simultaneous dissolution and uptake of nutrients in microalgal treatment of anaerobic digestate is discussed, as is coupled electrocoagulation and algal cultivation for the treatment of anaerobic digestate and algal biomass production. Finally, optimization of algal biomass production is discussed using metagenomics and machine learning tools, and scale-up potential and the limitations of integrated wastewater-derived microalgal biorefineries is discussed.

Integrated Electronic Health Records, 4th Edition
English | 2021 | ISBN: 1260082261 | 302 pages | True EPUB | 9.51 MB
Developed as a comprehensive learning resource, this hands-on course for Integrated Electronic Health Records is offered through McGraw Hill's Connect. Connect uses the latest technology and learning techniques to better connect professors to their students, and students to the information and customized resources they need to master a subject. Both the worktext and the online course include coverage of EHRclinic, an education-based EHR solution for online electronic health records, practice management applications, and interoperable physician-based functionality. EHRclinic will be used to demonstrate the key applications of electronic health records. Attention is paid to providing the "why"behind each task, so that the reader can accumulate transferable skills. The coverage is focused on using an EHR program in a doctor's office, while providing additional information on how tasks might also be completed in a hospital setting.
