Ross Taylor Black & White
Paul Thomas, "Ross Taylor: Black & White"
English | ISBN: 1990003443 | 2022 | 320 pages | EPUB | 5 MB
When an athlete with an exceptional record of achievement and longevity comes to the end of their career, the numbers can speak for themselves. Ross Taylor has scored the most runs, made the most centuries and taken the most catches by a New Zealander in international cricket. He' s the first New Zealand cricketer to play 450 international matches. He' s the first player from any country to make 100 international appearances in all three formats of the game: test cricket, one-day internationals and Twenty20. The numbers are extraordinary but they don' t tell the whole story. They don' t capture the unlikely, if not unique, aspects of Ross Taylor' s journey to becoming one of our true sporting greats. Here is the whole story - in black and white.

Reproducing Fictional Ethnographies: Surrogacy and Digitally Performed Anthropological Knowledge
English | 2023 | ISBN: 3031134249 | 301 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 30 MB
This book focuses on the example of surrogate motherhood to explore the interplay between new reproductive technologies and new ethnographic writing technologies. It seeks to interrogate the potential of fictional multimodality in ethnography and to illuminate the generative possibilities of digital artefacts in anthropological research. It also makes a case for the tailor-made character of ethnographic writing in the digital era, arguing that research quests and representational modalities can be paired together to develop unique narrative forms, corresponding to each particular topic's traits and analyticalaffordances.

John Roberts, "Red Days: Popular Music and the English Counterculture 1965-1975"
English | ISBN: 1570273642 | 2020 | 158 pages | PDF | 1104 KB
The passion, intensity and complexity of the popular music produced in England between 1965 75 is the work of an extraordinary generation of working-class and lower-middle-class men and women (in alliance with a handful of middle-class men and women) who saw in the new music the remaking of something bigger than themselves, or more precisely, something bigger than themselves that they could guide and shape and call their own. In this the "use-values" of popular music underwent an unprecedented expansion and diversity during this period.
