English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2023 | 479 Pages | ISBN : 3031311035 | 35.5 MB
This two-volume set provides a comprehensive overview of modern nanoscience, and encompasses advanced techniques of nanocomposite materials that make their way from the laboratory to the field for the revival of energy and environmental systems in a sustainable manner. It includes the design and the sophisticated fabrication of nanomaterials along with their potential energy and environmental applications, while looking at how nanoscience and nanotechnology can be used to promote environmentally friendly processes and strategies. The books' purpose is to promote eco-friendly methods and techniques by covering many elements of both the synthesis and uses of nanoparticles and nanofluids for energy and environmental engineering. They provide an up-to-date synthesis of nanocomposite materials for modern nanotechnology applications in the fields of environment protection, heterogeneous catalysis, wastewater treatment, fuel cells, electrochemical energy conversion, and storage applications. The set is designed for environmental scientists, nanotechnologists, chemists, engineers, and individuals seeking current research on nanotechnology and its applications in environmental engineering. Graduate students working in these fields will also find it a valuable resource.

Malaya 1941–42
Free Download Brian Farrell, "Malaya: 1941-42 "
English | ISBN: 0980567440 | 2016 | 254 pages | AZW3 | 5 MB
When Imperial Japan unleashed the Pacific War in December 1941, Australian forces went into action, as part of a larger British Empire force, to defend Malaya and Singapore. Australia's principal contribution to defending Malaya and Singapore was the 8th Division. Originally raised for service in the Mediterranean, the division was committed piecemeal to Malaya and its performance was bedevilled by poor command decisions in the face of an enemy better prepared on all counts for the campaign at hand. The 8th Division, however, also reflected some strengths of the AIF at large: stubbornness in positional defense, effective and flexible small unit tactics and leadership, and skill and determination in close quarter combat. Singapore was lost more in spite than because of Australian efforts, but its loss underlined Australia's strategic dependence on 'great and powerful friends' during the Second World War.

Maimonides A Radical Religious Philosopher
Free Download Shalom Sadik, "Maimonides: A Radical Religious Philosopher "
English | ISBN: 146324391X | 2023 | 225 pages | PDF | 3 MB
Was Maimonides a radical philosopher who subtly argued for a naturalist world and who saw the obligation to keep the Torah's commandments as a social and moral obligation - or was he a conservative Jewish believer who only tried to formulate philosophical arguments in favour of a revealed religion? This question has been central to the interpretation of Maimonides from the 12th century until modern times. In the four chapters of this book, Shalom Sadik argues for a radical philosophical interpretation of Maimonides.

English | July 21st, 2023 | ISBN: 0190090103, 019009009X | 320 pages | True EPUB | 4.72 MB
The eighteenth-century text Work on Women by Louise Dupin (also known as Madame Dupin, 1706-1799) is the French Enlightenment's most in-depth feminist analysis of inequality-and its most neglected one. Angela Hunter and Rebecca Wilkin here offer the first-ever edition of selected translations of Dupin's massive project, developed from manuscript drafts. Hunter and Wilkin provide helpful introductions to the four sections of Work on Women (Science, History and Religion, Law, and Education and Mores) which contextualize Dupin's arguments and explain the work's construction-including the role of her secretary, Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

English | PDF | 2023 | 327 Pages | ISBN : 3031378741 | 4.4 MB
Kurt Gödel (1906-1978) gained world-wide fame by his incompleteness theorem of 1931. Later, he set as his aim to solve what are known as Hilbert's first and second problems, namely Cantor's continuum hypothesis about the cardinality of real numbers, and secondly the consistency of the theory of real numbers and functions. By 1940, he was halfway through the first problem, in what was his last published result in logic and foundations. His intense attempts thereafter at solving these two problems have remained behind the veil of a forgotten German shorthand he used in all of his writing.
