English | 2016 | ISBN: 1784994057, 1474233880 | EPUB | pages: 184 | 0.7 mb
From the conflict in Syria to the crisis in Ukraine, Russia continues to dominate the headlines. Yet the political realities of contemporary Russia are poorly understood by Western observers and policy-makers. In this highly engaging book, Andrew Monaghan explains why we tend to misunderstand Russia - and the importance of 'getting Russia right'. Exploring in detail the relationship between the West and Russia, he charts the development of relations and investigates the causes of the increasingly obvious sense of strategic dissonance. He also considers the evolution in Russian domestic politics, introducing influential current figures and those who are forming the leadership and opposition of the future. By delving into the depths of difficult questions such as the causes of the Ukraine crisis or the political protests surrounding the 2011-12 elections, the book offers a dynamic model for understanding this most fascinating and elusive of countries.

English | 2021 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B09C135NQ3 | 87 pages | MOBI | 1.40 Mb
A Stage 2 business has between 11-19 employees. As the Ramp-Up Stage, a Stage 2 company is at a place where it has gained enough employees that more organizational structure needs to be put into place. The owner or CEO needs to focus on developing up to three supervisors/managers who can begin to help oversee some of the team. Growth must continue to come through the increase of profitable revenue, which typically requires increasing the structure and consistency of business development initiatives. Failure to create stable revenue streams will lead to the company stalling, or potentially retreating from its current position.

The Political Aspects of St. Augustine's City of God
Free Download The Political Aspects of St. Augustine's City of God By John Neville Figgis
2015 | 94 Pages | ISBN: 3849691489 | PDF | 6 MB
When one civilization has fallen and another is in its birth throes, people are apt to be seduced by the rushlights of a false leadership. The mind and mood of such a time of transition are intensely puzzling and those who would meet its needs must have insight and vision. The Epistle to the Hebrews was written after the fall of Jerusalem in the interest of a larger faith and in defense of the substantial authority of Christianity. When Rome was sacked by Alaric in 410 A. D., the shock of the catastrophe reacted against Christianity. Augustine wrote the De Civitate Dei to prove that the disaster was the inevitable Nemesis of the luxuries and corruptions of the citizenship and had little to do with Christianity, which had only a slight hold on public life. He also pointed out the contrast between the actual city to which the Romans were fanatically devoted, and the ideal city of his prophetic vision, contending that this ideal is eternal and unrealized but in process of realization. He was further convinced that Christianity was not merely a superior gnosis but a scheme of redemption, justified by its higher ethical standards and by the better conduct of its adherents. This apology has all the limitations of the time and the writer, but Augustine was a mystic and a statesman, and the im-ortance of this writing is in the fact that "in it for the first time an ideal consideration, a comprehensive survey of human history found its expression."

The Paraboloidal Reflector Antenna in Radio Astronomy and Communication Theory and Practice
Free Download The Paraboloidal Reflector Antenna in Radio Astronomy and Communication: Theory and Practice by Jacob W.M. Baars
English | PDF (True) | 2007 | 270 Pages | ISBN : 0387697330 | 10.3 MB
Reflector antennas are widely used in the microwave and millimeter wavelength domain. Radio astronomers have developed techniques of calibration of large antennas with radio astronomical methods. These have not been comprehensively described. This text aims to fill this gap. It takes a practical approach to the characterisation of antennas. All calculations and results in the form of tables and figures have been made with Mathematica by Wolfram Research. The reader can use the procedures for the implementation of his own input data. The book should be of use to all who are involved in the design and calibration of large antennas, like ground station managers and engineers, practicing radio astronomers and graduate students in radio astronomy and communication technology.
