Abozaid, "Undesired Revolution: The Arab Uprising in Egypt: a Three Level Analysis " English | ISBN: 9004681329 | 2023 | 284 pages | PDF | 15 MB This book introduces new non-Western perspectives on the Arab Uprisings, decentering and decolonizing International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies. Drawing on over 10 years of fieldwork, ethnography, over 250 interviews, and empirical research, it is one of the first books to evaluate the position of International Relations theorists towards the study of the Arab Uprisings. It relies on local IR scholarship from the region, which is rarely considered. It provides a critical account of why democratic revolutions have failed, how counterrevolutions and authoritarianism have fortified, and why revolutions will once again experience a resurgence in this part of the world. ![]() Free Download Understanding Kidney Diseases by Hugh C. Rayner , Mark Thomas , David Milford English | PDF | 2016 | 310 Pages | ISBN : 3319234579 | 23.2 MB This text aids medical students and trainee doctors in developing their knowledge of the conditions covered and improving their ability to clinically assess patients and formulate a management plan. Once doctors are comfortable in interpreting these graphs, they can use them in consultations with patients about their kidney condition and so support self-management by patients, an increasingly important aspect of healthcare. Kidney diseases and the speciality of nephrology have traditionally been regarded as difficult to understand. This is compounded by the use of complex definitions and terminology. These complex definitions result from a need to categorise kidney diseases according to the way kidney function changes over time, and then to express this in numbers and words. Central to the assessment of patients is the measurement of kidney function. In our teaching of medical students and trainee doctors, as well as in our clinical practice and interaction with GPs and consultant colleagues, we have found that viewing graphs of patients' kidney function (estimated glomerular filtration rate, or eGFR) against time is a much easier way of understanding kidney diseases. It provides the patient's 'kidney history' and leads into a description of the natural history and management of their condition. We were surprised to find that this graphical approach is not used routinely in teaching or in daily clinical practice. We therefore believe there is a need for a book that uses this approach and we thus sought to compile a collection of illustrative case studies covering an array of disease categories, together with patients' eGFR readings. ![]() Free Download Eleanor McLaughlin, "Unconscious Christianity in Dietrich Bonhoeffer's Late Theology: Encounters with the Unknown Christ" English | ISBN: 1978708254 | 2020 | 224 pages | EPUB, PDF | 11 MB + 14 MB In the last years of his life, Dietrich Bonhoeffer began work on an idea that he called unbewußtes Christentum, "unconscious Christianity." While Bonhoeffer's other ideas from this period have been extensively studied and are important in the field of theology and beyond, this idea has been almost completely ignored. For the first time in Bonhoeffer scholarship, Eleanor McLaughlin provides a definition of unconscious Christianity, based on a close reading and analysis of the texts in which Bonhoeffer mentioned the term. From a variety of surviving texts, from a scribbled marginal note in his Ethics manuscript to the fiction he wrote in prison, she constructs a detailed definition of unconscious Christianity that sheds light not only on Bonhoeffer's late work but his theological development as a whole. ![]() Free Download Uncertainty Analyses in Environmental Sciences and Hydrogeology: Methods and Applications to Subsurface Contamination by Rachid Ababou , Juliette Chastanet , Jean-Marie Côme , Manuel Marcoux , Michel Quintard English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2023 | 103 Pages | ISBN : 9819962404 | 19.8 MB This book highlights several methods and quantitative implementations of both probabilistic and fuzzy-based approaches to uncertainty quantification and uncertainty propagation through environmental subsurface pollution models with uncertain input parameters. The book focuses on methods as well as applications in hydrogeology, soil hydrology, groundwater contamination, and related areas (e.g., corrosion of nuclear waste canisters). The methods are illustrated for a broad spectrum of models, from non-differential I/O models to complex PDE solvers, including a novel 3D quasi-analytical model of contaminant transport, and a site-specific computer model of dissolved contaminant migration from a DNAPL (Dense Non Aqueous Phase Liquid) pollution source. ![]() Free Download Ronnie O'Sullivan, "Unbreakable: Shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year 2023" English | ISBN: 1399610015 | 2023 | 272 pages | EPUB | 18 MB AN INSTANT SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER ![]() Free Download Hille Haker, "Unaccompanied Migrant Children: Social, Legal, and Ethical Perspectives" English | ISBN: 1498574521 | 2018 | 262 pages | EPUB | 430 KB Unaccompanied migrant children are the most vulnerable group of migrants and refugees. This book thoroughly satisfies the need for such a reference, as it contains text written by experts in the field and a multitude of unique, educational illustrations. Spinal pain, the musculoskeletal system, and peripheral structures function as the fundamental items of discussion across three divided sections. In order to augment the reader's learning experience, the high-quality images found within each chapter provide step-by-step guidance on the various ultrasound scanning procedural processes. Additionally, tips and pearls for scan and injection supplement each chapter conclusion. ![]() Free Download Ultrasound Mid-Air Haptics for Touchless Interfaces by Orestis Georgiou, William Frier, Euan Freeman, Claudio Pacchierotti, Takayuki Hoshi English | EPUB(True) | 2022 | 411 Pages | ISBN : 3031040422 | 100.8 MB Over the last decade, ultrasound mid-air haptic technology has emerged and rapidly advanced to engage multidisciplinary scientific communities within and adjacent to the haptics and HCI fields. Additionally, this haptic technology has been adopted by a number of industry sectors (e.g., automotive, virtual reality, digital signage, neuroscience research) who appear keen to exploit its unique value proposition: the ability to deliver rich haptic sensations from a distance, without the need to touch, wear or hold anything in order to enhance touchless interfaces, novel applications, and experiences. ![]() Free Download Ultrasonography in Dentomaxillofacial Diagnostics by Kaan Orhan English | EPUB | 2021 | 372 Pages | ISBN : 3030621782 | 124.7 MB This book offers a comprehensive review of the state of the art in Ultrasonography (USG) dentomaxillofacial imaging to help radiologists and dentists in their training and daily practice. |
