Im Einzelfall kann es dabei zur Vorbereitung einer Rede durchaus nü- lich sein, etwas aus 2500 Jahren rhetorischer Tradition als Werkzeug zu nutzen. Viel wichtiger ist es aber zu prüfen, worin die individuelle H- ausforderung einer konkreten Situation liegt: Ist es wirklich nur - kenntnis über rhetorische Techniken oder muss jemand erst einmal - rausfinden, was er eigentlich wirklich will? Muss er nicht erst einmal Klarheit gewinnen, wofür er sich einsetzen will und was er entsprechend zu sagen hat? Oder hat jemand etwa ein so geringes Maß an Selbst- cherheit, dass er erst diese Voraussetzung erarbeiten muss, ehe er erfo- reich öffentlich reden kann? Es gibt auch Sprechblockaden, die so tief in einer Persönlichkeitsstruktur verankert sind, dass sie jemanden fun- mental am Sprechen hindern. Vor jeder weiteren rhetorisch-technischen Reflexion müssen sie erst aufgelöst werden. Manche Menschen leiden an überfordernden Vorbildern und Maßstäben, die Ihnen gesetzt wurden oder die sie sich selbst gesetzt haben.
