Code Optimization Techniques for Embedded Processors Methods, Algorithms, and Tools
Free Download Code Optimization Techniques for Embedded Processors: Methods, Algorithms, and Tools by Rainer Leupers
English | PDF | 2000 | 218 Pages | ISBN : 0792379896 | 21.9 MB
The building blocks of today's and future embedded systems are complex intellectual property components, or cores, many of which are programmable processors. Traditionally, these embedded processors mostly have been pro grammed in assembly languages due to efficiency reasons. This implies time consuming programming, extensive debugging, and low code portability. The requirements of short time-to-market and dependability of embedded systems are obviously much better met by using high-level language (e.g. C) compil ers instead of assembly. However, the use of C compilers frequently incurs a code quality overhead as compared to manually written assembly programs. Due to the need for efficient embedded systems, this overhead must be very low in order to make compilers useful in practice. In turn, this requires new compiler techniques that take the specific constraints in embedded system de sign into account. An example are the specialized architectures of recent DSP and multimedia processors, which are not yet sufficiently exploited by existing compilers.

English | PDF | 2004 | 746 Pages | ISBN : 1590591372 | 59.5 MB
Code generation has the potential to revolutionize application development. Rather than handcrafting each piece of code, developers are increasingly turning to code generation based on templates and applications of business logic to automatically perform a variety of tasks. This book teaches the technical details of code generation in .NET through a coherent series of steps that will help you to incorporate code generation into your own development efforts.

English | 2022 | ISBN: 0367741288 | PDF | pages: 396 | 222.2 mb
This collection covers essential concepts in the management of coastal disasters, outlining several field surveys of such events that have taken place in the 21st century, including the Indian Ocean Tsunami, the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, and the storm surges generated by Hurricane Katrina, Cyclone Nargis, and Typhoon Haiyan. Measurements of flood heights, distributions of structural destruction, and the testimonies of residents are reported, with the results being analysed and compared with past events and numerical simulations to clarify and reconstruct the reality of these disasters. The book covers the state-of-the-art understanding of disaster mechanisms and the most advanced tools for the simulation of future events:

Climate Sense A Layman's Guide to Climate Change
Free Download David Macfarlane, "Climate Sense: A Layman's Guide to Climate Change"
English | 2019 | ISBN: 179445277X | EPUB | pages: 199 | 0.2 mb
Climate Sense takes readers on a fascinating journey, digging deep to explore the philosophy, psychology, politics, and science behind the modern 'environmental' movement of climate change. Explained in an easy-to-read entertaining style, the conclusion may surprise many, but it challenges the reader to become better informed and think deeply about this vitally important and increasingly controversial issue. Reviewed by American atmospheric physicist Dr Richard Lindzen (lead author of the IPCC's Third Assessment Report on climate change), who wrote: "I loved your book. You seem to have successfully avoided the technical issues that befuddle non-scientists and have relied on logic and common sense (that also, alas, befuddle part of our elite, but are nonetheless more accessible to those with somewhat open minds)."

Classification Algorithms for Codes and Designs
Free Download Classification Algorithms for Codes and Designs by Petteri Kaski , Patric R.J. Östergård
English | PDF | 2006 | 414 Pages | ISBN : 3540289909 | 4 MB
A new starting-point and a new method are requisite, to insure a complete [classi?cation of the Steiner triple systems of order 15]. This method was furnished, and its tedious and di?cult execution und- taken, by Mr. Cole. F. N. Cole, L. D. Cummings, and H. S. White (1917) [129] The history of classifying combinatorial objects is as old as the history of the objects themselves. In the mid-19th century, Kirkman, Steiner, and others became the fathers of modern combinatorics, and their work - on various objects, including (what became later known as) Steiner triple systems - led to several classi?cation results. Almost a century earlier, in 1782, Euler [180] published some results on classifying small Latin squares, but for the ?rst few steps in this direction one should actually go at least as far back as ancient Greece and the proof that there are exactly ?ve Platonic solids. One of the most remarkable achievements in the early, pre-computer era is the classi?cation of the Steiner triple systems of order 15, quoted above. An onerous task that, today, no sensible person would attempt by hand calcu- tion. Because, with the exception of occasional parameters for which com- natorial arguments are e?ective (often to prove nonexistence or uniqueness), classi?cation in general is about algorithms and computation.
