Go Together How the Concept of Ubuntu will Change How We Work, Live and Lead
Free Download Go Together: How the Concept of Ubuntu will Change How We Work, Live and Lead by Shola Richards
English | April 25, 2023 | ISBN: 195588448X | 240 pages | PDF | 2.99 Mb
In Go Together, workplace positivity expert Shola Richards suggests replacing divisiveness and incivility with a commitment to living, working, and leading together to positively change the world. Go Together begins with the story of an impactful keynote speech Richards gave at a conference on workplace civility and a powerful concept: Ubuntu. A transcendent African philosophy, Ubuntu represent the power of human connectedness, compassion, kindness, and togetherness. It was the central theme of his speech on that day, and it also serves as the central theme of this book. He hopes that it becomes a rallying cry on his journey. Among the subjects that Richards covers are developing empathy through curiosity; the beliefs that destroy connection (and what to do about them); the eight keys to Ubuntu at work; four ways you can cultivate more warmth as a leader; resilience and digging deep to keep moving forward; standing up to bigotry, hate, and intolerance; and more. Richards writes, "The only thing that is required of us to stop the recurring pattern of the painful lessons of the past is to commit to go together from this point forward."

International trade has moved into a new phase. Gone are the days when years of effort were required in the domestic market before going global. You can now start a company on Monday and be trading with the world by Wednesday. The web has made this perfectly possible and faced with a sluggish UK market there's never been a better time to leverage technology and look overseas; after all, a connection to the internet is a connection to over 1 billion potential customers. Our politicians are encouraging it and technology is in place to enable it, yet small business owners are resisting the international trade opportunity for fear of perceived language, currency, cultural and business barriers. In this book, bestselling author Emma Jones, puts paid to these perceptions and shows you don't need big budgets or to be a big business to be a globally successful one. She offers a route map that will have you trading across the globe and illustrates how it can be done, with stories from 20 successful exporters. Whether you're selling tangibles or services, if you've considered exporting but didn't know where to start or you're making international sales and want to grow further, this is the book for you. Consider it your guide as you embark on a journey of international deals and discovery.www.goglobalguide.com

Gnat Boys True Tales from RAF, Indian and Finnish Fighter Pilots Who Flew the Single–Seat Training and Fighter Aircraft
Free Download Gnat Boys: True Tales from RAF, Indian and Finnish Fighter Pilots Who Flew the Single-Seat Training and Fighter Aircraft (The Boys Series) by Air Commodore Rick Peacock-Edwards, Group Captain Tom Eeles
English | September 19, 2022 | ISBN: 1911667262 | 256 pages | MOBI | 61 Mb
The Folland Gnat was used by the RAF mainly in the advanced training role, in the 1960s and 70s, where it proved to be an ideal lead-in trainer for high-performance aircraft such as the iconic Lightning, the first RAF supersonic fighter. It was also the aircraft used by the famous Yellowjacks formation aerobatic team, formed in 1964, the forerunner of the world-famous Red Arrows team which was equipped with the Gnat for over a decade before being replaced by the Hawk in 1980. Lesser known, the Gnat was also used as a lightweight fighter by both the Indian and Finnish air forces. In the case of India, the Gnat, later called the 'Ajeet' (Midge), saw combat experience in the Indo-Pakistani wars, most notably in the Battle of Boyra. Today, over 60 years since the aircraft first flew, several Gnats continue to be operated from North Weald Airfield in Essex by the Heritage Aircraft Trust under the brand, the Gnat Display Team.

Glycoimmunology in Xenotransplantation
Free Download Glycoimmunology in Xenotransplantation by Cheorl-Ho Kim
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 378 Pages | ISBN : 9819976901 | 16.4 MB
This book describes general glycobiology in emphasizing the structures, biosynthesis, glycosylation and distribution of the glycans and xenogenic glycoantigens in eukaryotic cells of mammals including mouse, swine, chimpanzee and human. In the middle, I have focused on topics in xenotransplantation glycobiology and expand descriptions of allogenic and xenoantigenic transplantation to open the dawn in insights into the origin of life. One of the biological diversity, named species diversity, is a phenomenon environmentally adapted from the evolutionary process for long period. The distinct structures of glycans discriminate each organism and are the essential molecular basis of the discrimination and difference between the organisms, giving an incompatibility between the different species. Diversity and variations in carbohydrate chain structures between family, species, kingdoms and domains mark the global pattern and signs of immune self- and non-self recognition. In human, diversity in ABH blood group antigens is observed in human family and this type pattern distinguishes individuals from a pan-family to non-dividable unit of the family. Blood transfusion and organ transplantation are impossible even in the allogenic cross between humans if carbohydrates are ignored. This explains how and how human beings are a lonely existence. ABH-related antibodies induce hemolysis or hyperacute or allograft rejection due to incompatible graft property even between the same species. The incompatibility is an immunologic rejection when the recipient host receives the tissues or organs from the different species of donors, as well-known in pig-to-human xenotransplantation. The immunologic incompatibility between the donor pigs and the recipient human are based on the evolutionary distance between pigs and humans. This distance allows a xenograft rejection between the 2 mammals. Modification or deletion of the specific gene locus for immune rejection on genome of donor animals disrupts the immunological recognition ligands of the donor organs, consequently preventing the immune rejection of the human recipient and xenograft rejection. This book helps undergraduate and graduate students, researcher and professors who are involved in the glycobiology and xenoantigenic biology with recent advances in the xenotransplantation basic and clinic.
