Now in its second edition, the book is enlarged to include topical subjects such as artificial intelligence, sustainability and climate change. The book prepares designers to focus on each concept independently as much as possible, whilst acknowledging relative connections without unwarranted influences unfairly dictating a conceptual bias, and is about that part of the design process called conceptual analysis. ![]() Free Download Julie Kim, "Interdisciplinary Design Thinking in Architecture Education" English | ISBN: 1032283246 | 2023 | 280 pages | EPUB | 24 MB [center] ![]() Free Download Anna Matysiak, "Interdependencies Between Fertility and Women's Labour Supply" English | 2011 | pages: 192 | ISBN: 9400712839, 9400736460 | PDF | 2,8 mb The book explores interlinkages between women's employment and fertility at both a macro- and a micro-level in EU member states, Norway and Switzerland. Similarly as many other studies on the topic, it refers to the cross-country variation in the macro-context for explaining cross-country differences in women's labour supply and fertility levels. However, in contrast to other studies, which mainly focus on Western Europe, it extends the discussion to Central and Eastern European countries. Furthermore, it looks at the macro-context from a multi-dimensional perspective, indicating its four dimensions as relevant for fertility and women's employment choices: economic (living standards), institutional (family policies), structural (labour market structures), and cultural (social norms). A unique feature of the study is the development of indices that measure the intensity of institutional, structural, and cultural incompatibilities between women's employment and fertility. These indices are used for ranking European countries from the perspective of the country-specific conditions for work and family reconciliation. A country where these conditions are the worst, but where women are additionally perceived as important income providers, is picked up for an in-depth empirical study of the interrelationship between fertility and women's employment choices. ![]() Free Download Dr Nadia T. van Pelt, "Intercultural Explorations and the Court of Henry VIII " English | ISBN: 0192863444 | 2024 | 240 pages | PDF | 4 MB Seldom has a royal court invited such intensive study as that of Henry VIII, or become so prominent in popular culture. Drawing from the work of Victor Turner, Gregory Bateson, and Anthony F. C. Wallace, Intentional Community examines historic and contemporary intentional communities within the United States, leading to a better understanding of these communities, the larger nation-state of which they are a part, and the ways in which the two interact. Applying classical anthropological theory to elements of western society, the contributors discuss how the individuals function; the ways in which these communities come into being and disappear; the various forms these communities take; how their members reinterpret features of the larger culture; and the ways in which outsiders relate to people within them. ![]() Free Download Intelligent Systems and Applications: Proceedings of the 2023 Intelligent Systems Conference (IntelliSys) Volume 3 English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031477146 | 885 Pages | PDF (True) | 86 MB |
