Handbook of Research on Cybersecurity Risk in Contemporary Business Systems
Free Download Handbook of Research on Cybersecurity Risk in Contemporary Business Systems by Festus Adedoyin, Bryan Christiansen
English | May 26, 2023 | ISBN: 1668472074 | 446 pages | MOBI | 13 Mb
The field of cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important due to the continuously expanding reliance on computer systems, the internet, wireless network standards such as Bluetooth and wi-fi, and the growth of "smart" devices, including smartphones, televisions, and the various devices that constitute the internet of things (IoT). Cybersecurity is also one of the significant challenges in the contemporary world, due to its complexity, both in terms of political usage and technology. The Handbook of Research on Cybersecurity Risk in Contemporary Business Systems examines current risks involved in the cybersecurity of various business systems today from a global perspective and investigates critical business systems. Covering key topics such as artificial intelligence, hacking, and software, this reference work is ideal for computer scientists, industry professionals, policymakers, researchers, academicians, scholars, instructors, and students.

Handbook of Phenomenology and Cognitive Science (2024)
Free Download Daniel Schmicking, Shaun Gallagher, "Handbook of Phenomenology and Cognitive Science"
English | 2009 | pages: 676 | ISBN: 9048126452, 9400786476 | PDF | 10,4 mb
This volume explores the essential issues involved in bringing phenomenology together with the cognitive sciences, and provides some examples of research located at the intersection of these disciplines. The topics addressed here cover a lot of ground, including questions about naturalizing phenomenology, the precise methods of phenomenology and how they can be used in the empirical cognitive sciences, specific analyses of perception, attention, emotion, imagination, embodied movement, action and agency, representation and cognition, inters- jectivity, language and metaphor. In addition there are chapters that focus on empirical experiments involving psychophysics, perception, and neuro- and psychopathologies. The idea that phenomenology, understood as a philosophical approach taken by thinkers like Husserl, Heidegger, Sartre, Merleau-Ponty, and others, can offer a positive contribution to the cognitive sciences is a relatively recent idea. Prior to the 1990s, phenomenology was employed in a critique of the first wave of cognitivist and computational approaches to the mind (see Dreyfus 1972). What some consider a second wave in cognitive science, with emphasis on connectionism and neuros- ence, opened up possibilities for phenomenological intervention in a more positive way, resulting in proposals like neurophenomenology (Varela 1996). Thus, bra- imaging technologies can turn to phenomenological insights to guide experimen- tion (see, e. g. , Jack and Roepstorff 2003; Gallagher and Zahavi 2008).

Handbook of Learning Disabilities
Free Download Handbook of Learning Disabilities By H. Lee Swanson; Karen R. Harris; Steve Graham
2013 | 716 Pages | ISBN: 1462508499 | PDF | 7 MB
This comprehensive handbook reviews the major theoretical, methodological, and instructional advances that have occurred in the field of learning disabilities over the last 20 years. With contributions from leading researchers, the volume synthesizes a vast body of knowledge on the nature of learning disabilities, their relationship to basic psychological and brain processes, and how students with these difficulties can best be identified and treated. Findings are reviewed on ways to support student performance in specific skill areas--including language arts, math, science, and social studies--as well as general principles of effective instruction that cut across academic domains.

Handbook of Infant Mental Health
Free Download Handbook of Infant Mental Health By Charles H. Zeanah
2018 | 678 Pages | ISBN: 1462537111 | PDF | 9 MB
The definitive reference in the field--now significantly revised with 75% new material--this volume examines typical and atypical development from birth to the preschool years and identifies what works in helping children and families at risk. Foremost experts explore neurobiological, family, and sociocultural factors in infant mental health, with a major focus on primary caregiving relationships. Risk factors for developmental problems are analyzed, and current information on disorders and disabilities of early childhood is presented. The volume showcases evidence-based approaches to assessment and intervention and describes applications in mental health, primary care, child care, and child welfare settings.New to This Edition:*Chapters on genetic and epigenetic processes, executive functions, historical trauma, and neglect.*Chapters on additional clinical problems: hyperactivity and inattention, sensory overresponsivity, and relationship-specific disorder.*Chapters on additional interventions: attachment and biobehavioral catch-up, video-feedback intervention to promote positive parenting and sensitive discipline, parent-child interaction therapy, and home visiting programs.*Existing chapters all rewritten or revised to reflect a decade's worth of empirical and clinical advances.

Handbook of Hydrocarbon and Lipid Microbiology
Free Download Handbook of Hydrocarbon and Lipid Microbiology by Kenneth N. Timmis (Professor)
English | PDF (True) | 2010 | 4790 Pages | ISBN : 3540775846 | 68.7 MB
"Water is life!" All active cellular systems require water as the medium and solvent of their metabolic activities. Hydrophobic compounds and structures, which tend to exclude water, though providing inter alia excellent sources of energy and a means of biological compartmentalization, present problems of cellular handling, poor bioavailability and, in some cases, toxicity. Microbes both synthesize and exploit a vast range of hydrophobic organics, especially petroleum oil hydrocarbons and industrial pollutants, and the underlying interactions not only have major consequences for the lifestyles of the microbes involved, but also for biogeochemistry, climate change, environmental pollution, human health and a range of biotechnological applications. The aim of this handbook is to be the definitive resource of current knowledge on the diverse and multifaceted aspects of these interactions, the microbial players, and the physiological mechanisms and adaptive strategies characteristic ofthe microbial lifestyle that plays out at hydrophobic material: aqueous liquid interfaces.
