The most successful public campaign of all was launched in London at the beginning of 1915. Known as the Imperial Aircraft Flotilla, the scheme aimed to attract contributions towards aircraft production costs from throughout the British Empire. Any country, locality, or community that provided sufficient funds for an entire aeroplane could have it named after them. It was promised that when the machine crashed or was shot down, the name would be transferred to a new one of the same type. ![]() Free Download Armin von Bogdandy, "The Impact of the Inter-American Human Rights System: Transformations on the Ground" English | ISBN: 0197744168 | 2024 | 704 pages | PDF | 26 MB The Inter-American System of Human Rights (IASHR) is certainly a source of innovation in human rights law and policy. However, uncertainty reigns over its true legal, political, and social effects as many decisions face serious problems of compliance. To better grasp the System's effects, this book broadens the focus from compliance to impact as the key criterion of effectiveness. Thus, The Impact of the Inter-American Human Rights System: Transformations on the Ground can reveal the IASHR's deep and multifaceted effects, not least by embedding a common law of human rights. ![]() Free Download The Impact of Management Control Systems on Employees' Behavior During Remote Work English | 2024 | ISBN: 3658441801 | 186 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 3 MB The new trend towards flexible work environments has spurred the debate over the effects of remote work on employees' behavior and has forced greater consideration of how management control systems must be adjusted to meet the needs of the new work environment. While the existing literature has observed several positive behavioral changes, such as increased performance and effort, counterproductive work behavior has also been identified. Combining an experimental and a case study research approach, the present study investigates whether a management control system can mitigate unwanted behavior during remote work. The experimental study manipulates the use of management controls and analyzes the effects of an enabling vs. a coercive management control system on dishonest behavior. The data reveal that individuals who perceive the system as enabling and feel a connection to the company behave more honestly during remote work. The organizational connection entirely mediates the perception of the management control system on dishonest behavior. To further investigate this effect, a case study approach was applied. Based on interviews, several factors are identified that might impact the enabling perception of the control system in remote work settings. The six factors are divided into situational and individual attributes. ![]() Free Download Dean M. A novel By Michael Cunningham 2000 | 226 Pages | ISBN: 0312243022 | PDF | 22 MB A daring, deeply affecting third novel by the author ofA Home at the End of the WorldandFlesh and Blood.InThe Hours, Michael Cunningham, widely praised as one of the most gifted writers of his generation, draws inventively on the life and work of Virginia Woolf to tell the story of a group of contemporary characters struggling with the conflicting claims of love and inheritance, hope and despair. The narrative of Woolf's last days before her suicide early in World War II counterpoints the fictional stories of Samuel, a famous poet whose life has been shadowed by his talented and troubled mother, and his lifelong friend Clarissa, who strives to forge a balanced and rewarding life in spite of the demands of friends, lovers, and family.Passionate, profound, and deeply moving, this is Cunningham's most remarkable achievement to date. |
