Free Download Marcus Bussey, Camila Mozzini-Alister, "Phenomenologies of Grace: The Body, Embodiment, and Transformative Futures"
English | 2020 | pages: 383 | ISBN: 3030406253, 3030406229 | PDF | 3,7 mb
This book explores the place of the body and embodied practices in the production and experience of grace in order to generate transformative futures. The authors offer a range of phenomenologies in order to move the philosophical anchoring of phenomenology from an abstracted European tradition into more open and complex experiential sets of understandings. Grace is a sticky word with many layers to it, and the authors explore this complexity through a range of traditions, practices, and autobiographical accounts. The goal is to open a grace-space for reflection and action that is both futures-oriented and enlivening.

Pheno–phospholipids and Lipo–phenolics Novel Structured Antioxidants
Free Download Mohamed Fawzy Ramadan, "Pheno-phospholipids and Lipo-phenolics: Novel Structured Antioxidants"
English | ISBN: 3030673987 | 2021 | 80 pages | PDF | 2 MB
Natural phenolics are powerful bioactive compounds, but their use as antioxidant agents in lipid-based foodstuffs and cosmetics is limited due to their hydrophilic traits. A promising technique to overcome low solubility of phenolics is to increase their hydrophobicity by grafting with lipophilic moiety to form lipid-enriched phenolics (lipo-phenolics). Another way to enhance the amphiphilic traits of phenolics is by lipophilization with phospholipids in a suitable solvent to form phenolics-enriched phospholipids (pheno-phospholipids). Both functionalized phenolics (phenolipids) exhibit high bioavailability and antioxidative potential.

Petitioning in the Atlantic World, c. 1500–1840 Empires, Revolutions and Social Movements
Free Download Miguel Dantas da Cruz, "Petitioning in the Atlantic World, c. 1500-1840: Empires, Revolutions and Social Movements"
English | ISBN: 3030985334 | 2022 | 282 pages | PDF | 7 MB
This book deals with one of the most pervasive ways by which people have addressed authority throughout history: petitioning. Based on a Congress held at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (Petitions in the Age of the Atlantic Revolutions), in February of 2019, the book explores traditional practices and institutions, as well as the transformation of petitions as vehicles of popular politics. The ability or the right to petition was also a crucial element for the development and operation of early modern empires, playing a major role on the negotiated patterns of the Atlantic World. This book shows how petitions were used in Europe, America and Africa, by the governors and the governed, by the rich and the poor, by the colonists and the colonised and by the liberal and the reactionary groups. Broken down into three thematic parts, encompassing both in chronological and geographical scope, the book deepens our understanding of petitioning and its relation with ideas of consent and subjecthood, nationality and citizenship, political participation and democracy. This book provides a rare comparative platform for the study of a subject that has been receiving growing interest.
