V. Klapdor-Kleingrothaus, R. D. Viollier English | PDF (True) | 2002 | 670 Pages | ISBN : 354044257X | 71.1 MB The Fourth HEIDELBERG International Conference on Dark Matter in Astro and Particle Physics, DARK2002, was held in Cape Town, South Africa, in the period 4-9 February 2002. This majestic natural area was the site of the first conference of this series (hosted since 1996 in Heidelberg) to be held outside of Germany. Dark Matter has become one of the most exciting and central fields of as trophysics, particle physics and cosmology. The conference covered, as usual for this series, a large range of topics, theoretical and experimental. Topics included Astronomical Evidence for Dark Matter, the Cosmic Microwave Background, Supersymmetry, Inflation and Dark Energy, Structure Formation, Hot and Cold Dark Matter, and Ultrahigh Energy Cosmic Rays all of which were represented by experts in the field. It was very nice to see again many of our 'old' friends in Dark Matter here in South Africa. The organizers were very glad to see, in addition to world experts, the new generation here. Many young participants gave very nice professional talks during the conference. We are grateful to John Ellis for doing an incredible job preparing his excellent summary talk during the sessions. Some special interest and intensive discussions were naturally raised by the first announcement of terrestrial evidence for hot dark matter, obtained from neutrino less double beta decay. This now adds to the evidence for cold dark matter which we have from DAM A for several years already, and which remained unchallenged up to now by other experiments.

![]() Free Download Current and Future Advances in Male Infertility: A Compendium for Clinicians and Researchers by Ashok Agarwal, Ramadan Saleh, Florence Boitrelle, Rupin Shah English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 405 Pages | ISBN : 3031626478 | 40.6 MB Infertility is an important health problem affecting around 15% of couples worldwide, with profound psycho-social consequences and impairment of patients' quality of life. It has been shown that the male factor is solely and partially implicated in 20-50% of the cases of infertility. Male infertility is a complex issue that can be related to a variety of congenital or acquired factors that lead to a decline in the quantity and/or the quality of semen. Over the recent years, there have been major advances in basic understanding of the factors that regulate male fertility, the diagnostic tests for assessment of male fertility potential, and the therapeutic options for the management of male subfertility/infertility. However, despite advances in technologies and diagnostic methods in the field of andrology, there remains a significant subset of these subfertile men who are classified as having unexplained or idiopathic male infertility. In addition, there are ongoing debates and controversies on the clinical management of infertile men under certain conditions like varicocele, genital tract inflammation/infection or non-obstructive azoospermia. ![]() Free Download Current Trends in Fisheries Biotechnology by Bijay Kumar Behera English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 212 Pages | ISBN : 981973164X | 20.4 MB This book discusses information on recent trends in fisheries biotechnology. It addresses various aspects, such as metagenomics, proteomics, surrogacy, and nano-biosensor applications in fisheries and aquaculture. This is a sunrise sector and provides nutritional security to millions of people globally. Recent developments in biotechnology, such as genomics, proteomics, bioremediation, and nanotechnology, are highly useful for the sustainable development of fisheries and aquaculture. Furthermore, mitochondrial markers, surrogacy, and epigenetics reprogramming have high potential for fisheries and aquaculture advancements. Aquatic ecosystem health surveillance is also very essential for the conservation and management of fisheries biodiversity in natural ecosystems and has also been covered in the book. ![]() Free Download Cultures of Mathematics and Logic: Selected Papers from the Conference in Guangzhou, China, November 9-12, 2012 by Shier Ju, Benedikt Löwe, Thomas Müller, Yun Xie English | PDF (True) | 2016 | 130 Pages | ISBN : 3319315005 | 3.3 MB This book gathers the proceedings of the conference "Cultures of Mathematics and Logic," held in Guangzhou, China. The event was the third in a series of interdisciplinary, international conferences emphasizing the cultural components of philosophy of mathematics and logic. It brought together researchers from many disciplines whose work sheds new light on the diversity of mathematical and logical cultures and practices. In this context, the cultural diversity can be diachronical (different cultures in different historical periods), geographical (different cultures in different regions), or sociological in nature.
![]() Free Download Cultural Heritage Education in the Everyday Landscape: School, Citizenship, Space, and Representation by Camilla Casonato, Bertrando Bonfantini English | EPUB (True) | 2022 | 287 Pages | ISBN : 3031103947 | 106.6 MB This book summarizes work being undertaken within the School Activates Resources-stitching the lost heritage of the suburbs (ScAR) project, which addressed cultural heritage in a broad sense, as a system of values identified by the populations and in constant evolution. This tangible and intangible heritage fuels the promotion of intergenerational and intercultural dialogue and represents an opportunity for resilient social and territorial development. The book ponders the experience gained and the points of view of the different disciplines involved, examines issues such as children and youth participation in civil life or education in cultural heritage and landscape, and presents real-world experiences of heritage education in everyday landscape in difficult contexts and/or concerning poorly recognized and valued cultural heritage. |
