![]() Free Download Contributions to Current Challenges in Mathematical Fluid Mechanics by Giovanni P. Galdi, John G. Heywood, Rolf Rannacher English | PDF (True) | 2004 | 159 Pages | ISBN : 3764371048 | 11.8 MB This volume consists of five research articles, each dedicated to a significant topic in the mathematical theory of the Navier-Stokes equations, for compressible and incompressible fluids, and to related questions. All results given here are new and represent a noticeable contribution to the subject. One of the most famous predictions of the Kolmogorov theory of turbulence is the so-called Kolmogorov-obukhov five-thirds law. As is known, this law is heuristic and, to date, there is no rigorous justification. The article of A. Biryuk deals with the Cauchy problem for a multi-dimensional Burgers equation with periodic boundary conditions. Estimates in suitable norms for the corresponding solutions are derived for "large" Reynolds numbers, and their relation with the Kolmogorov-Obukhov law are discussed. Similar estimates are also obtained for the Navier-Stokes equation. In the late sixties J. L. Lions introduced a "perturbation" of the Navier Stokes equations in which he added in the linear momentum equation the hyper dissipative term (-Ll),Bu, f3 ~ 5/4, where Ll is the Laplace operator. This term is referred to as an "artificial" viscosity. Even though it is not physically moti vated, artificial viscosity has proved a useful device in numerical simulations of the Navier-Stokes equations at high Reynolds numbers. The paper of of D. Chae and J. Lee investigates the global well-posedness of a modification of the Navier Stokes equation similar to that introduced by Lions, but where now the original dissipative term -Llu is replaced by (-Ll)O:u, 0 S Ct < 5/4. ![]() Free Download Contemporary Russia by Edwin Bacon English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 300 Pages | ISBN : 3031524225 | 9.9 MB This textbook offers an up-to-date and incisive overview of contemporary Russia. Systematically covering the country's history, geography, society, politics, economy and culture, it analyses current developments -the headlines and the more everyday- and situates its analysis in the wider historical context to help readers make sense of one of the world's most important regions. Building on the success of its previous editions and analysing complex questions in the light of expertise gathered over decades, this remains the leading text for a wide-ranging account of Russia today. ![]() Free Download Contemporary Neuroma Management by Kyle R. Eberlin, Ivica Ducic, Amy Moore, Paul S. Cederna, Ian L. Valerio, Gregory A. Dumanian English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 310 Pages | ISBN : 3031597575 | 303.4 MB Traditional techniques for the surgical management of symptomatic neuromas involve excision with intra-muscular or intra-osseous burying. Over the last decade, a number of novel strategies have been developed that have led to a resurgence of interest in management of the symptomatic neuroma. These techniques are collectively summarized as active management strategies and include targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR), regenerative peripheral nerve interface (RPNI) and others. ![]() Free Download Contemporary Heritage Lexicon: Volume 2 by Cristiana Bartolomei, Alfonso Ippolito, Simone Helena Tanoue Vizioli English | PDF (True) | 2024 | 571 Pages | ISBN : 3031612442 | 34.6 MB The book presents themes related to contemporary architecture as the results of diverse cultural influences and architectural legacies, manifested in a rich variety of styles, materials, and spatial perceptions. It consists of 24 chapters written by authors from various continents and contains the result of research highlighting contemporary architecture in relation to multiple aspects that are distinguished by their eclectic nature, characterized by the integration of diverse cultural and architectural influences. The book examines aspects involving material aspects, technologies, design, history, salvage, technologies, and digitization. The aspects covered are always filtered through research, which objectively integrates traditional and innovative approaches. Thus, the focus is to explore the contemporary lexicon not only in the field of architecture and engineering but in all those areas where this theme can be read with a meaningful vision. Contemporary architecture is constantly evolving, reflecting the changing needs of society and anticipating the challenges of the future.

This has led to a number of issues that pose increasing difficulties to conservators and collection keepers. A deeper knowledge of the artists' intent as well as processes associated with material changes in paintings is important to conservation, which is almost always a compromise between material preservation and aesthetics. ![]() Free Download Congress on Intelligent Systems: Proceedings of CIS 2021, Volume 1 by Mukesh Saraswat English | EPUB | 2022 | 933 Pages | ISBN : 981169415X | 113.9 MB This book is a collection of selected papers presented at the Second Congress on Intelligent Systems (CIS 2021), organized by Soft Computing Research Society and CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, India, during September 4 - 5, 2021.
