Dieser Stress wiederum kann Erkrankungen auslösen. In diesem Buch wird die Verbindung zwischen Arbeitsbedingungen, Stress und Gesundheit speziell für das Phänomen der krankheitsbedingten Frühberentung betrachtet. Dies ist zum einen als Beitrag zur allgemeinen Arbeitsstressforschung gedacht. Zum anderen geht es um das Verständnis der Entstehung der krankheitsbedingten Frührente, die eine erhebliche Belastung für die betroffenen Menschen, die Unternehmen und das Sozialsystem bedeutet. Entstanden ist dieses Buch als Promotionsarbeit an der Heinrich-Heine- Universität Düsseldorf.
