Mexican Philosophy in the 20th Century Essential Readings
Free Download Carlos Alberto Sánchez, "Mexican Philosophy in the 20th Century: Essential Readings "
English | ISBN: 0190601302 | 2017 | 328 pages | EPUB | 1079 KB
Sánchez and Sanchez have selected, edited, translated, and introduced some of the most influential texts in Mexican philosophy, which constitute a unique and robust tradition that will challenge and complicate traditional conceptions of philosophy. The texts collected here are organized chronologically and represent a period of Mexican thought and culture that emerged from the Mexican Revolution of 1910 and which culminated in la filosofía de lo mexicano (the philosophy of Mexicanness). Though the selections reflect on a variety of philosophical questions, collectively they represent a growing tendency to take seriously the question of Mexican national identity as a philosophical question-especially given the complexities of Mexico's indigenous and European ancestries, a history of colonialism, and a growing dependency on foreign money and culture. More than an attempt to describe the national character, however, the texts gathered here represent an optimistic period in Mexican philosophy that aimed to affirm Mexican culture and philosophy as a valuable, if not urgent, contribution to universal culture.

Methodology of Uniform Contract Law The UNIDROIT Principles in International Legal Doctrine and Practice
Free Download Methodology of Uniform Contract Law: The UNIDROIT Principles in International Legal Doctrine and Practice By Dr. Maren Heidemann (auth.)
2007 | 230 Pages | ISBN: 3540444610 | PDF | 2 MB
Despite ever growing international trade and dispute settlement, a consistent international methodology of uniform private law has yet to be formed. The potential of uniform law has not yet been fully recognised. In this book, the author examines uniform contract law comprehensively in all relevant areas of legal doctrine and practice and considers the barriers which exist toward it in modern nation states, namely in the German and English legal systems. She suggests ways in which these barriers can be overcome and develops an autonomous methodology of interpretation of transnational contract principles. The author wants to encourage the use of existing uniform transnational law rules, such as the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts, which are analysed here as an example.

Messapisch (Kurzgrammatiken Indogermanischer Sprachen Und Sprachstufen)
Free Download Joachim Matzinger, "Messapisch (Kurzgrammatiken Indogermanischer Sprachen Und Sprachstufen)"
Deutsch | 2019 | ISBN: 3954903989 | PDF | pages: 173 | 25.5 mb
English summary: The extreme southeast of Italy, Puglia and especially the Salento, is the territory where the ancient Indo-European Messapic language is attested in about 600 inscriptions from the 6th to the 2nd century BC. Despite the numerous epigraphic documents, Messapic is a fragmentarily attested language, since short tomb inscriptions prevail which only mention the name of the buried person. By contrast, the few longer inscriptions are very difficult to understand. However, it is evident that Messapic is not an Italian language. It is assumed that the Messapic language has been brought from the Balkans to Italy, which is also supported by the linguistic characteristics of Messapic. The inscriptions known until 2002 have been published in the Monumenta Linguae Messapicae edited by Carlo de Simone and Simona Marchesini (Reichert Verlag). Meanwhile, new important epigraphic material has been excavated in Castro (southern Salento). Based on the epigraphic material, a concise presentation of the phonology, morphology and syntax of Messapic is given for the first time. The presentation is primarily synchronic, but in some instances questions of linguistic history are also dealt with. In literature, Messapic has been treated mostly in a very short form, often based on outdated studies. This presentation is the first comprehensive description of Messapic on the basis of the entire epigraphic material. The presentation is not limited to the phonology and the morphology of Messapic, but also attempts, as far as possible, to gain insight into the syntax of Messapic. The 18 inscriptions analyzed in this presentation are intended to show the characteristics of the epigraphic material and what peculiarities arise in their interpretation. This presentation is therefore not only of particular interest for historical linguistics, but also for ancient history and archeology, especially of ancient Italy.
