Arbitration Practice in Construction Contracts, Fifth Edition
Free Download Arbitration Practice in Construction Contracts, Fifth Edition By Douglas A. Stephenson(auth.)
2001 | 291 Pages | ISBN: 0632057416 | PDF | 5 MB
Since it came into force on 31 January 1997 the Arbitration Act 1996 has generally been welcomed by users and practitioners in the construction industry. It has fulfilled expectations that it would provide a user-friendly and practical basis of resolving disputes arising from construction contracts in a fair, expeditious and economical way. In doing so it has generated a modest volume of case law that has demonstrated the excellence of the Act's provisions and its drafting. Since the Fourth Edition of this book appeared in 1997 the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 with its Scheme for Construction Contracts Regulations 1998 have come into force, as have the Civil Procedure Rules 1998, both of which affect the resolution of disputes arising from construction contracts. Case law has arisen from the Construction Act, and from the House of Lords' judgment in the Beaufort Developments case, overturning the much-criticised judgment of the Court of Appeal in Crouch. In this Fifth Edition of an established text the author deals with each stage of an arbitration, explaining in practical terms the procedures to be adopted in avoiding disputes and in dealing with them efficiently when they do arise. It features over 20 specimen arbitration documents and includes the full text of the Act. It also covers several important developments in case law affecting construction arbitrations, and refers to the introduction and case law arising from adjudication under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.Content: Chapter 1 Introduction (pages 1-13): Chapter 2 Arbitration Agreements (pages 14-38): Chapter 3 Appointment of the Arbitrator (pages 39-44): Chapter 4 Jurisdiction of the Arbitrator (pages 45-54): Chapter 5 The Preliminaries (pages 55-77): Chapter 6 Evidence (pages 78-85): Chapter 7 The Hearing (pages 86-93): Chapter 8 The Award (pages 94-110): Chapter 9 Costs (pages 111-119): Chapter 10 Powers of the Court in Relation to the Award (pages 120-124): Chapter 11 Dispute Avoidance and Management (pages 125-143):

Published in Cooperation with THE WORLD AQUACULTURE SOCIETY Aquaculture loses millions of dollars in revenue annually due to aquatic animal diseases. Disease outbreaks continue to threaten profitable and viable aquaculture operations throughout the world. As a result, aquaculture biosecurity programs that address aquatic animal pathogens and diseases have become an important focus for the aquaculture industry. Aquaculture Biosecurity: Prevention, Control, and Eradication of Aquatic Animal Disease provides valuable information that will increase success in combating infectious aquatic disease. Key representatives of international, regional, and national organizations presented their views on this important issue as part of a special session at the 2004 World Aquaculture Society Annual Conference. The chapters of this book cover a wealth of experience from the varied perspectives of these experts on biosecurity, policies, and measures to take the offensive against the spread of diseases in aquatic animals. Approximate Fixed Points of Nonexpansive Mappings
Free Download Approximate Fixed Points of Nonexpansive Mappings
English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031707095 | 539 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 41 MB
Fixed point theory of nonlinear operators has been a rapidly growing area of research and plays an important role in the study of variational inequalities, monotone operators, feasibility problems, and optimization theory, to name just several. This book discusses iteration processes associated with a given nonlinear mapping which generate its approximate fixed point and in some cases converge to a fixed point of the mapping. Various classes of nonlinear single-valued and set-valued mappings are considered along with iteration processes under the presence of computational errors. Of particular interest to mathematicians working in fixed point theory and nonlinear analysis, the added value for the reader are the solutions presented to a number of difficult problems in the fixed point theory which have important applications.

Free Download Applied Thin-Layer Chromatography: Best Practice and Avoidance of Mistakes, Second Edition By Elke Hahn?Deinstrop(auth.)
2006 | 320 Pages | ISBN: 3527315535 | PDF | 5 MB
Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is a powerful, fast and inexpensive analytical method. It has proven its usefulness in pharmaceutical, food and environmental analysis. This new edition of the practical TLC guide features a completely revised chapter on documentation, now including the use of digital cameras. Selected new sorbents and instruments are also introduced. Why has the prior edition been successful? All steps of the analytical procedure are clearly explained, starting with the choice of a suitable TLC technique and ending with data evaluation and documentation. Special emphasis is put on the proper choice of materials for TLC. Properties and functions of various materials and the TLC equipment are described, covering e. g. precoated layers, solvents and developing chambers, including information on suppliers. Many practical hints for trouble shooting are given. All this is illustrated with numerous coloured figures. How to use TLC in compliance with GLP/GMP regulations is described in detail, including the required documentation. Therefore the reader can very easily compile his own standard operating procedures.Content: Chapter 1 Introduction (pages 1-13): Chapter 2 Precoated Layers (pages 15-33): Chapter 3 Before the TLC Development Process (pages 35-68): Chapter 4 Solvent Systems, Developing Chambers and Development (pages 69-112): Chapter 5 Evaluation Without Derivatization (pages 113-123): Chapter 6 Derivatization (pages 125-151): Chapter 7 Evaluation After Derivatization (pages 153-180): Chapter 8 Documentation (pages 181-201): Chapter 9 GMP/GLP?Conforming Operations in TLC (pages 203-239): Chapter 10 Effects of Stress (pages 241-245): Chapter 11 Special Methods in TLC (pages 247-252): Chapter 12 Appendix (pages 253-270):
