Origami Antennas for Wireless Communication Systems
Free Download Origami Antennas for Wireless Communication Systems by Syed Imran Hussain Shah, Shahid Bashir, Slawomir Koziel
English | March 8, 2024 | ISBN: 3031535650 | 151 pages | MOBI | 11 Mb
This book discusses the lightweight, reconfigurable, and deployable origami antennas for adaptive communication systems. Traditional antennas, with their fixed characteristics, struggle to meet the evolving needs of modern communication systems. Reconfigurable antennas, on the other hand, can dynamically adjust their operating parameters, offering significant advantages in terms of performance, size, and cost. Origami technology has emerged as a disruptive force in antenna design, enabling the development of lightweight, reconfigurable antennas with tailored radiation characteristics. Deployable origami antennas offer a transformative solution for applications demanding mobility and rapid deployment in challenging environments. These innovative antennas hold immense promise to revolutionize communication systems, paving the way for a future where adaptability and versatility are paramount. This book offers a comprehensive guide to origami antenna technology, encompassing both fundamentals and practical applications. It might be a valuable resource for researchers and engineers working in the field of antenna development, particularly those focused on wireless communication systems with reconfigurability and deployability are essential design prerequisites.

Organisatorischer Wandel durch Globalisierung Optionen für multinationale Unternehmen
Free Download Organisatorischer Wandel durch Globalisierung: Optionen für multinationale Unternehmen By Dr. Clemens Riedl (auth.)
1999 | 234 Pages | ISBN: 3642642896 | PDF | 8 MB

2000 | 203 Pages | ISBN: 3824405199 | PDF | 5 MB

Focusing on online facilitated child sexual abuse, this book takes a rigorous approach to existing literature to address some of the most pressing public and policy questions surrounding the evolution of online child sexual abuse. The authors provide an unparalleled examination of which children are most vulnerable to this type of abuse, how their vulnerability is made, what they are vulnerable to and how resilience, both human and technical, can be promoted. They also consider the changing nature of child sexual abuse in the digital age and the consequences of this for victims and survivors, as well as for practitioners and policymakers working in prevention and response.

On the Colors of Vowels Thinking through Synesthesia (Verbal Arts Studies in Poetics)
Free Download On the Colors of Vowels: Thinking through Synesthesia (Verbal Arts: Studies in Poetics) by Liesl Yamaguchi
English | January 7, 2025 | ISBN: 1531509053 | 240 pages | PDF | 7.37 Mb
Treatments of synesthesia in the arts and humanities generally assume a clear distinction between the neurological condition and the literary device. Synesthetes' descriptions of colors seen in connection with music, for example, are thought to differ fundamentally from common expressions that rely on transpositions across sensory dimensions ("bright vowels"). This has not always been the case. The distinction emerged over the course of the twentieth century, as scientists sought to constitute "synesthesia" as a legitimate object of modern science.

Oedipus at Colonus Sophocles
Free Download Sophocles, Eamon Grennan, Rachel Kitzinger, "Oedipus at Colonus: Sophocles"
English | 2004 | pages: 135 | ISBN: 0195135040 | PDF | 0,7 mb
The latest title to join the acclaimed Greek Tragedy in New Translations series, Sophocles' Oedipus at Colonus tells the story of the last day in the life of Oedipus. It was written at the end of the fifth century BCE in Athens, in the final years of the "Golden Age" of Athenian culture, and in the last year of Sophocles' own life. At the center of the play is the mysterious transformation of Oedipus from an old and blind beggar, totally dependent on his daughters, to the man who rises from his seat and, without help, leads everyone to the place where he is destined to die. In the background of this transformation stands the grove of the Furies, the sacred place of the implacable goddesses who pursue the violators of blood relationships. Although Oedipus, who killed his father and married his mother, is an obvious target of the Furies' vengeance, he enters their grove at the beginning of the play, sure that it is the resting place Apollo has predicted for him. The reversals and paradoxes in the play speak to the struggle that Oedipus' life and the action of the play bring vividly before us: how do we as humans, subject to constant change, find stable ground on which to stand and define our moral lives? Sophocles offers his play as a witness to the remarkable human capacity to persevere in this struggle.
