Free Download Ragnar Benson, "Ragnar's Guide to Interviews, Investigations, and Interrogations: How to Conduct Them, How to Survive Them" English | ISBN: 158160095X | 2000 | 110 pages | PDF | 6 MB Most Paladin readers know Ragnar Benson as a survivalist, a powder monkey, a trapper, a hunter and a dispenser of survival medicine, but how many know that he has been involved in the PI business for more than 25 years? In this, his first book on the subject of investigations, Ragnar offers readers two books in one. He reveals how PIs, cops and military interrogators conduct interviews, investigations and interrogations, and he also shows prospective witnesses how to survive them. For investigators, he shares his professional secrets and real-life scenarios for creating effective pretexts for any situation, opening up a witness and keeping him talking, recognizing and "listening" to nonverbal clues, and deciding whether to use honey or vinegar to get the desired results. Then he turns the tables on his fellow investigators and gives potential witnesses specific tips for avoiding - or at least surviving - the tactics, techniques and tricks favored by skilled investigators. Whether you want to be an investigator or avoid one, you won't want to miss this book. Free Download Radioactivity: Anthropogenic Sources, VOL II English | 2025 | ISBN: 1032565160 | 294 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 74 MB It first explores the development and applications of technically enhanced natural radioactivity (TENR) and addresses nuclear energy sources, the fission and fusion processes, and the issues of radioactive fallout from nuclear weapon use and test programs. Later chapters explore the cutting-edge medical applications of radioactive materials in diagnostics and therapy, exploring nuclear medicine technologies such as x-ray tomography, brachytherapy, and positron emission tomography (PET). They also detail the broad range of applications of radioactive materials in industrial production processes, in the sterilization of tools and materials in the medical and the food industries, and in the analysis of art and archaeological material to analyse paintings and painting techniques to identify fakes and forgeries. The book concludes with a discussion of the societal impact and understanding of radioactivity, alongside detailing the underlying reasons for its negative preconceptions and the possible mitigation of these through better education and information practices. Free Download Karen L. Bloomquist, "Radicalizing Reformation: North American Perspectives (6) " English | ISBN: 3643907729 | 2016 | 310 pages | PDF | 3 MB Radicalizing Reformation provides critical perspectives from North American theologians involved in the international project, "Radicalizing Reformation - Provoked by the Bible and Today's Crises." This project explores the radical roots of what was ignited 500 years ago in order to bring more attention to the systemic challenges that must be addressed today, drawing from both the strengths and the weaknesses of the Reformation legacy. Authors in this all-English volume include: Brigitte Kahl, Paul S. Chung, Samuel Torvend, Cynthia Moe-Lobeda, Craig L. Nessan, Peter Goodwin Heltzel, Charles Amjad-Ali, Karl Koop, Wanda Deifelt, Vitor Westhelle, and Karen L. Bloomquist. Each article has been published in one of the previous five volumes. This volume also includes background on the overall project, the 94 theses, and a guide for discussion in local contexts. Free Download Radical Inclusion: Seven Steps to Help You Create a More Just Workplace, Home, and World by David Moinina Sengeh English | May 2, 2023 | ISBN: 1250827744 | 256 pages | PDF | 2.82 Mb BEST BOOKS OUT THIS WEEK, KIRKUS CRITIC'S PICKS Free Download Radiation in Astrophysical Plasmas By V. V. Zheleznyakov (auth.) 1996 | 462 Pages | ISBN: 9401065748 | PDF | 34 MB Interest in the problem of interaction between radiation and astrophysical plasmas arose decades ago. Initially, this was closely related to the discovery of radio emission from the Sun and Galaxy which alerted theoretical radio astronomers to the problem of the origin of extra-terrestrial radio emission. It has been found that the observed radio emission from cosmic sources is generated by virtue of the mechanisms which work mainly in plasma (an ionized gas). Recently, the theory of generation and propagation of radiation in astrophysical plasmas has outgrown its parent domain of theoretical radio astronomy and is being successfully applied to other fields, such as high-energy astrophysics. General results obtained in this field may also help to better understand the complicated phenomena in laboratory plasmas on the Earth. At the same time, analysis of interaction between radiation and astrophysical plasmas under extreme conditions (strong magnetic fields of white dwarfs and neutron stars or strong gravitational fields in the vicinity of black holes) stimulates the development of plasma physics as a whole. In fact, the physics of plasma under extreme conditions in space is a new branch of fundamental science. The monograph contains the description of physical processes involved in interaction between radiation and astrophysical plasmas. It comprises the reasonable minimum necessary for understanding the emission and propagation of electromagnetic waves in astrophysical plasmas; without this minimum one could not succeed in interpreting the results of a number of astronomical observations. Audience: This monograph will be useful for graduate and post-graduate students and young scientists as a textbook on plasma astrophysics and the issues of plasma physics dealing with radiation. At the same time, the book can be used by specialists on astrophysics, radio astronomy and plasma physics. Free Download John R. So wrote Thomas Jefferson, and so agreed with him the delegates from the American colonies. But we must not press them too closely nor insist on the literal interpretation of their words. They were not publishing a scientific treatise on human nature nor describing the physical, intellectual, and moral qualities of different races and different individuals, but they were bent upon a practical object in politics.
