Nudity and Freedom Discovering Liberation and Self–Acceptance Through Living Bare
Free Download Nudity and Freedom: Discovering Liberation and Self-Acceptance Through Living Bare by Kristin Williams
English | August 30, 2024 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B0DFV2ZWRB | 51 pages | EPUB | 0.10 Mb
Nudity, for many, can feel like a radical act, especially in a world that often tells us to cover up, to conform, and to hide the parts of ourselves that don't fit into a narrow definition of beauty. But when you strip away those layers-both literally and figuratively-you start to understand that there is nothing more beautiful, more authentic, or more empowering than being comfortable in your own skin. It's about standing tall, bare and proud, and saying, "This is me. Take it or leave it."

Notorious Antebellum North Alabama
Free Download John O'Brien, "Notorious Antebellum North Alabama "
English | ISBN: 1467141119 | 2020 | 112 pages | EPUB | 2 MB
Before the Civil War, North Alabama was infamous for lawlessness. The era saw courts filled with defendants who spanned the socioeconomic gamut-farmers, merchants and politicians. In 1811, John B. Haynes tore apart William Badger's house with his bare hands. Rodah Barnett ran a series of ill-reputed brothels in the early 1820s. In 1818, Rebecca Layman "accidentally" gave her husband sulfuric acid instead of rum. There is even a case of assault with frozen corn. Author John O'Brien relays these and more stories of the shady side of North Alabama during the antebellum period.

North American Gaels Speech, Story, and Song in the Diaspora (Volume 249)
Free Download Natasha Sumner, "North American Gaels: Speech, Story, and Song in the Diaspora (Volume 249) "
English | ISBN: 0228003792 | 2020 | 512 pages | EPUB | 3 MB
A mere 150 years ago Scottish Gaelic was the third most widely spoken language in Canada, and Irish was spoken by hundreds of thousands of people in the United States. A new awareness of the large North American Gaelic diaspora, long overlooked by historians, folklorists, and literary scholars, has emerged in recent decades. North American Gaels, representing the first tandem exploration of these related migrant ethnic groups, examines the myriad ways Gaelic-speaking immigrants from marginalized societies have negotiated cultural spaces for themselves in their new homeland. In the macaronic verses of a Newfoundland fisherman, the pointed addresses of an Ontario essayist, the compositions of a Montana miner, and lively exchanges in newspapers from Cape Breton to Boston to New York, they proclaim their presence in vibrant traditional modes fluently adapted to suit North American climes. Through careful investigations of this diasporic Gaelic narrative and its context, from the mid-eighteenth century to the twenty-first, the book treats such overarching themes as the sociolinguistics of minority languages, connection with one's former home, and the tension between the desire for modernity and the enduring influence of tradition. Staking a claim for Gaelic studies on this continent, North American Gaels shines new light on the ways Irish and Scottish Gaels have left an enduring mark through speech, story, and song.

Nonlinear Dynamics in Complex Systems Theory and Applications for the Life–, Neuro– and Natural Sciences
Free Download Nonlinear Dynamics in Complex Systems: Theory and Applications for the Life-, Neuro- and Natural Sciences By Armin Fuchs (auth.)
2013 | 238 Pages | ISBN: 3642335519 | PDF | 11 MB
With many areas of science reaching across their boundaries and becoming more and more interdisciplinary, students and researchers in these fields are confronted with techniques and tools not covered by their particular education. Especially in the life- and neurosciences quantitative models based on nonlinear dynamics and complex systems are becoming as frequently implemented as traditional statistical analysis. Unfamiliarity with the terminology and rigorous mathematics may discourage many scientists to adopt these methods for their own work, even though such reluctance in most cases is not justified. This book bridges this gap by introducing the procedures and methods used for analyzing nonlinear dynamical systems. In Part I, the concepts of fixed points, phase space, stability and transitions, among others, are discussed in great detail and implemented on the basis of example elementary systems. Part II is devoted to specific, non-trivial applications: coordination of human limb movement (Haken-Kelso-Bunz model), self-organization and pattern formation in complex systems (Synergetics), and models of dynamical properties of neurons (Hodgkin-Huxley, Fitzhugh-Nagumo and Hindmarsh-Rose). Part III may serve as a refresher and companion of some mathematical basics that have been forgotten or were not covered in basic math courses. Finally, the appendix contains an explicit derivation and basic numerical methods together with some programming examples as well as solutions to the exercises provided at the end of certain chapters. Throughout this book all derivations are as detailed and explicit as possible, and everybody with some knowledge of calculus should be able to extract meaningful guidance follow and apply the methods of nonlinear dynamics to their own work."This book is a masterful treatment, one might even say a gift, to the interdisciplinary scientist of the future.""With the authoritative voice of a genuine practitioner, Fuchs is a master teacher of how to handle complex dynamical systems.""What I find beautiful in this book is its clarity, the clear definition of terms, every step explained simply and systematically."(J.A.Scott Kelso, excerpts from the foreword)

Noise–Aware Quantum Circuit Simulation with Decision Diagrams
Free Download Noise-Aware Quantum Circuit Simulation with Decision Diagrams
English | 2025 | ISBN: 3031710355 | 355 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 10 MB
This book provides an easy-to-read introduction to quantum computing, as well the classical simulation of quantum circuits with common types of error effects. The authors showcase the enormous potential that can be unleashed when doing these simulations using decision diagrams-a data-structure common in the design automation community, often used in quantum computing design tasks. The algorithms and methods described can outperform previously proposed solutions in some cases, providing a complementary solution to established approaches. Finally, the necessity of noise-aware classical quantum circuit simulation is demonstrated through a practical use-case: the evaluation of quantum error correcting codes.

Neighbours and strangers Local societies in early medieval Europe
Free Download Bernhard Zeller, "Neighbours and strangers: Local societies in early medieval Europe "
English | ISBN: 1526139812 | 2020 | 304 pages | EPUB | 2 MB
This book explores social cohesion in rural settlements in western Europe from 700-1050, asking to what extent settlements, or districts, constituted units of social organisation. It focuses on the interactions, interconnections and networks of people who lived side by side - neighbours. Drawing evidence from most of the current western European countries, the book Descriptions and interrogates the very different practices of this wide range of regions in a systematically comparative framework. It considers the variety of local responses to the supra-local agents of landlords and rulers and the impact, such as it was, of those agents on the small-scale residential group. It also assesses the impact on local societies of the values, instructions and demands of the wider literate world of Christianity, as delivered by local priests.
