![]() Free Download Jesús Padilla Gálvez, "Ontological Commitment Revisited " English | ISBN: 3110749998 | 2021 | 164 pages | EPUB | 1311 KB Ontological commitment implies that each theory is supposed to specify the type of entities that form its components. Representatives of a theory share an ontological commitment in relation to the objects they refer to. There are theories that admit the existence of universals while others do not. As there are different ways of speaking about universals it is necessary to decide what a universal term corresponds to. It is essential to have a criterion that enables us to decide which kinds of objects are allowed as references for the terms used. In this volume two different approaches are discussed: first, in cases where only extensional languages are accepted; second, when intensional elements are required to determine the meaning such terms as "Sachverhalt", intentional statements or representations. The ontological commitment associated with extensional theories exclusively admits the existence of physical objects, whereas intensional theses additionally include universal and abstract entities. The study of ontological commitment enables us to measure the ontological economy of theories. This serves as a basis for the choice of theory. The authors of this volume discuss relevant issues of both models and provide new solutions. ![]() Free Download Joanne Edge, "Onomantic Divination in Late Medieval Britain: Questioning Life, Predicting Death " English | ISBN: 1914049241 | 2024 | 282 pages | EPUB | 13 MB Demonstrates the wide prevalence of supposedly impermissible divination techniques found in a wide range of manuscripts from medieval Britain. ![]() Free Download Jean Boyd, "One Woman's Jihad: Nana Asma'u, Scholar and Scribe" English | 2000 | ISBN: 0253213983 | PDF | pages: 219 | 4.0 mb " . . . a most welcome addition to the body of scholarship on the Sokoto Jihad and Caliphate." ―Religious Studies Review ![]() Free Download One Pot One Portion: 100 Simple Recipes Just for You by Eleanor Wilkinson English | February 11, 2024 | ISBN: 152992197X | 223 pages | MOBI | 58 Mb 100 simple, comforting, and special one-pot recipes that yield the perfect single serving for people who cook, eat, or live alone and want to eat well. ![]() Free Download One Pot One Portion: 100 Simple Recipes Just for You by Eleanor Wilkinson English | February 11th, 2025 | ISBN: 0593798392 | 224 pages | True EPUB | 103.80 MB 100 simple, comforting, and special one-pot recipes that yield the perfect single serving for people who cook, eat, or live alone and want to eat well. ![]() Free Download One More Day: Find Strength and Resilience through Your Darkest Times with Life-Saving Tools from Positive Psychology by Niyc Pidgeon English | September 24, 2024 | ISBN: 1401977472 | 288 pages | PDF | 4.55 Mb Positive Psychologist Niyc Pidgeon lost three close friends to suicide.
