Clinical Documentation with Children and Adolescents Treatment, Risks, and Ethics
Free Download Clinical Documentation with Children and Adolescents: Treatment, Risks, and Ethics By Amy Marschall
2023 | 210 Pages | ISBN: 1032327332 | EPUB | 1 MB
This book addresses the unique challenges therapists face when documenting their clinical work with children, providing insight into what ethical, appropriate, and culturally competent practice looks like. Clinical documentation is vital for ethical and legal practice, and good documentation helps clinicians leave room for client-centered and age-appropriate interventions, such as play therapy. Beginning with an overview of the important considerations unique to providers working with children, Amy Marschall offers guidance on all aspects of clinical documentation, such as intakes, treatment plans, mental status examinations, progress notes, safety plans, and more. Each chapter includes specific examples of clinical situations with guidance on how to document these situations effectively. With chapters on client confidentiality and telehealth, as well as special attention being paid to cultural awareness, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status, this book includes blank templates of treatment plans, progress notes, and risk assessments for therapists to use in their practice. This book is essential for any mental health professional who works with children in both individual and family work, including psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, play therapists, school counselors, and therapist interns.

Clinical Communication The Ideal of Patient Empowerment and the Reality of Patient Vulnerability and Dependence
Free Download Peter Salmon, "Clinical Communication: The Ideal of Patient Empowerment and the Reality of Patient Vulnerability and Dependence "
English | ISBN: 1009619551 | 2025 | 75 pages | PDF | 1464 KB
Good communication is necessary for good clinical care, but defining good communication has been surprisingly difficult and controversial. Many current ideas that identify good communication with certain communication behaviours, or 'skills', were ethically inspired to help doctors see beyond disease to the whole patient. However, promoting specific behaviours is problematic because communication is contextually dependent. In recent decades, observational research into practitioner-patient relationships has begun to provide a scientific basis for the field, identifying patients' vulnerability and practitioners' authority as defining features of fundamentally asymmetric clinical relationships. Future educators can learn from research that explores the judgments that experienced practitioners make when they manage communication dilemmas arising from this asymmetry. In future, instead of the current emphasis on teaching communication behaviours, educators could provide practitioners with knowledge about relationships to inform those judgments, while addressing the attitudes and values that motivate and guide their communication.

Climate Risk Management in Agriculture Monthly and Seasonal Forecast Application
Free Download Climate Risk Management in Agriculture: Monthly and Seasonal Forecast Application by U. C. Mohanty , Palash Sinha , M. M. Nageswara Rao , Dillip Kumar Swain , K. K. Singh
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 374 Pages | ISBN : 3031518616 | 85.9 MB
Sustainable agricultural production is vital for food security and agricultural productivity. It is greatly influenced by weather and climate conditions. This book focuses on understanding weather and climate systems and crop yield productions, including integrated weather-crop prediction systems for climate risk management in agriculture. It examines the impact of climate change and its variability on different crops, and possible ways to minimize the loss for farmers. This book also describes different weather and climate hazards, including the fundamentals of weather/climate prediction systems and numerical weather prediction (NWP) models. It presents the need for seamless weather/climate predictions and their impact on agriculture. The status and availability of different monthly and seasonal scale forecasts worldwide is explored and how the forecasting models or products can be evaluated using statistical methods. The book concisely elucidates systematic model bias removal techniques and a reliable approach based on multi-statistics in producing a single forecast from the multi-model grand ensemble. Since crop models need daily weather sequence, several standard disaggregation methods for generating daily weather sequences from monthly/seasonal products are presented. This book describes several aspects that are needed for agricultural practices and crop modelling. It encapsulates different components of crop models and their application, preparation methods of Crop Weather Calendar, application of disaggregated weather sequence in crop models, and generation of Climate Risk Matrices (CRM). A detailed methodology is presented for hands-on practice, including downloading and processing data, model evaluation and bias corrections, generating a single forecast, disaggregation, and preparing CRM based on crop model products. This book contains a total 11 chapters and appeals to students, researchers, scientists, and operational agencies.
