Gastrointestinal Cancer A Comprehensive Guide to Diagnosis and Management
Free Download Gastrointestinal Cancer: A Comprehensive Guide to Diagnosis and Management by Hoon Jai Chun , Seun Ja Park , Yun Jeong Lim , Si Young Song
English | EPUB (True) | 2023 | 503 Pages | ISBN : 9819908140 | 119.1MB
There have been many advances in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, but it is still a feared disease with a lot of work left to be done. The importance of gastrointestinal cancer as a frequently occurring disease goes without saying. It accounts for half of human cancer cases but differs from other forms of cancer. Complete prevention is possible through proper treatment of precancerous lesions. There is still no comprehensive book about prevention, early diagnosis, and proper treatment of precancerous lesions and new developed diagnostic modality, and treatment such as endoscopic treatment and minimal invasive surgery and chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Also, this book will contain conservative treatment methods for patients suffering from diverse complications. There will be plentiful clinical cases including endoscopic findings, radiologic images, pathology and treatment outcome in this book. For these reasons, this book will give very valuable information to many gastroenterologists, oncologists , surgeons and general physicians.

From Boolean Logic to Switching Circuits and Automata Towards Modern Information Technology
Free Download From Boolean Logic to Switching Circuits and Automata: Towards Modern Information Technology by Radomir S. Stanković , Jaakko Astola
English | PDF (True) | 2011 | 212 Pages | ISBN : 3642116817 | 105.6 MB
Logic networks and automata are facets of digital systems. The change of the design of logic networks from skills and art into a scientific discipline was possible by the development of the underlying mathematical theory called the Switching Theory. The fundamentals of this theory come from the attempts towards an algebraic description of laws of thoughts presented in the works by George J. Boole and the works on logic by Augustus De Morgan.

Forest Entomology and Pathology Volume 1 Entomology
Free Download Forest Entomology and Pathology Volume 1: Entomology by Jeremy D. Allison, Timothy D. Paine, Bernard Slippers, Michael J. Wingfield
English | PDF EPUB | 2023 | 810 Pages | ISBN : 303111552X | 154.5 MB
This book will provide an introduction to forest entomology, the principles and techniques of forest insect pest management, the different forest insect guilds/feeding groups, and relevant forest insect pest management case studies. In addition to covering 30% of the earth, forest ecosystems provide numerous timber and non-timber products that affect our daily lives and recreational opportunities, habitat for diverse animal communities, watershed protection, play critical roles in the water cycle, and mitigate soil erosion and global warming. In addition to being the most abundant organisms in forest ecosystems, insects perform numerous functions in forests, many of which are beneficial and critical to forest health. Conversely, some insects damage and/or kill trees and reduce the capacity of forests to provide desired ecosystem services. The target audience of this book is upper-level undergraduate and graduate students and professionals interested in forest health and entomology.

Finite Element Methods for Navier-Stokes Equations Theory and Algorithms
Free Download Finite Element Methods for Navier-Stokes Equations: Theory and Algorithms by Vivette Girault , Pierre-Arnaud Raviart
English | PDF | 1986 | 386 Pages | ISBN : 3642648886 | 54.4 MB
The material covered by this book has been taught by one of the authors in a post-graduate course on Numerical Analysis at the University Pierre et Marie Curie of Paris. It is an extended version of a previous text (cf. Girault & Raviart [32J) published in 1979 by Springer-Verlag in its series: Lecture Notes in Mathematics. In the last decade, many engineers and mathematicians have concentrated their efforts on the finite element solution of the Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible flows. The purpose of this book is to provide a fairly comprehen sive treatment of the most recent developments in that field. To stay within reasonable bounds, we have restricted ourselves to the case of stationary prob lems although the time-dependent problems are of fundamental importance. This topic is currently evolving rapidly and we feel that it deserves to be covered by another specialized monograph. We have tried, to the best of our ability, to present a fairly exhaustive treatment of the finite element methods for inner flows. On the other hand however, we have entirely left out the subject of exterior problems which involve radically different techniques, both from a theoretical and from a practical point of view. Also, we have neither discussed the implemen tation of the finite element methods presented by this book, nor given any explicit numerical result. This field is extensively covered by Peyret & Taylor [64J and Thomasset [82].

Finite Element Analysis of Electrical Machines
Free Download Finite Element Analysis of Electrical Machines by S. J. Salon
English | PDF | 1995 | 251 Pages | ISBN : 0792395948 | 7.1 MB
In Finite Element Analysis of Electrical Machines the author covers two-dimensional analysis, emphasizing the use of finite elements to perform the most common calculations required of machine designers and analysts. The book explains what is inside a finite element program, and how the finite element method can be used to determine the behavior of electrical machines. The material is tutorial and includes several completely worked out examples. The main illustrative examples are synchronous and induction machines. The methods described have been used successfully in the design and analysis of most types of rotating and linear machines.

Feeding in Vertebrates Evolution, Morphology, Behavior, Biomechanics
Free Download Feeding in Vertebrates: Evolution, Morphology, Behavior, Biomechanics by Vincent Bels
English | EPUB | 2019 | 865 Pages | ISBN : 3030137384 | 179.5 MB
This book provides advanced students and researchers with comprehensive reviews of biological questions related to feeding in vertebrates living in aquatic and terrestrial environments. Based on recent technical developments and novel conceptual approaches, the book covers functional questions on trophic behavior in nearly all vertebrate groups to provide major baselines for understanding the functioning of these organisms, with examples in a series of taxa, and ranging from structures to behavior. In turn, the book demonstrates the importance of adopting an integrative approach to the trophic system in order to understand evolutionary mechanisms under the biodiversity of vertebrates.
