English | 2025 | ISBN: 3031866878 | 470 Pages | PDF (True) | 19 MB

Free Download Max A. Eggert, "Resolving Conflict"
English | ISBN: 1903776066 | 2003 | 112 pages | PDF | 1117 KB
"The Resolving Conflict Pocketbook" explains what conflict is, how to recognise signs of conflict, how people react to it, how to develop strategies for dealing with it, how to resolve difficulties and how to deal with bullying and harassment. Causes of conflict are numerous and varied. Author Max Eggert's list includes distorted thinking (e.g. over-generalizations, taking things personally, believing you are always right), playing games (we've all played them!) and, of course, the male-female divide (even allowing for gross generalisations and stereotyping, differences between the sexes do exist and these can and do lead to conflict). In looking at conflict within the context of personality, Eggert draws on the work of Myers Briggs. How then to resolve the various forms of conflict? Eggert admits that there is no magic formula but puts forward a process that identifies where you are in the conflict cycle, what to expect next and what you should be working towards. Conflict and third party intervention (mediation and arbitration) is another area dealt with, as is team conflict and conflict between different elements of an organisation (departments, operational functions, etc). The Pocketbook Series comprises more than 60 titles in the areas of training, personal development, management, customer care, sales and marketing and finance.

Free Download Reproductive Justice and Women's Voices : Health Communication across the Lifespan By Beth L. Sundstrom
2015 | 129 Pages | ISBN: 1498503136 | EPUB | 1 MB
Reproductive rights are human rights. Reproductive Justice and Women's Voices: Health Communication across the Lifespan offers an in-depth analysis of women's reproductive health in a transformative, sociopolitical moment that is redefining women's access to health care; reducing disparities in maternal and child health is a critical public health goal for the United States. Sundstrom contributes to patient-centered public health by analyzing women's reproductive health across the lifespan. Four critical body episodes: contraceptive use dynamics, pregnancy, childbirth, and the post-partum period explicate women's understandings of control and embodiment in the context of technology. Women's meaning making of each body episode is interrogated in three areas: (1) the physiological experience of reproductive health, (2) perceptions of medicine and the biomedical model, and (3) opinions of mediated messages about reproduction, including new media. Through stories and silence, the women interviewed in this book demand accurate information, including the risks and benefits of health care, and access to reproductive services and technologies. The analysis disrupts the nature/technology dualism and reconceptualizes health outside of the normative processes of menstruation, pregnancy, and childbirth. By talking with women, this study privileges women's decision-making about reproductive health and offers insight for how women's partners, families, and health care providers can support them in this process.
