![]() Free Download Forging Military Identity in Culturally Pluralistic Societies: Quasi-Ethnicity By Daniel G. Zirker (editor) 2015 | 156 Pages | ISBN: 1498507433 | EPUB | 1 MB Ethno-politics has become a major force in the post-Cold War era. The fundamental challenge to military establishments in deeply plural societies is the formation of institutional unity from diverse ethnic groups. This edited volume examines seven case studies of countries that have attempted, with varying degrees of success, to develop, or to begin to develop, within their military establishments a single "quasi-ethnic" military identity to effect unity within their ranks and attenuate the deep and often violent ethnic divisions that otherwise would pertain. The volume compares contrasting outcomes in two African regions: West Africa with the contrasting cases of Guinea and Nigeria and East Africa with the cases of Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. It also examines the very different cases of Algeria and Suriname. In most of these cases, the emergence of a single, unified, quasi-ethnic identity is in its earliest stages, although rapid global change points to the likelihood that this pattern will prevail. ![]() Free Download Forest Degradation and Management: An Indian Perspective by Gopal Shukla, Abha Manohar K. Jones 2012 | 273 Pages | ISBN: 076185858X | EPUB | 1 MB For the Glory of God addresses key questions regarding the connection between religion and science. Richard H. Jones investigates whether ideas from the Bible and Christian theology have played a significant role in the development of modern scientific theories. If so, has the role always been positive or negative? In this regard, does religion have the epistemic right to control science or to offer an alternative "Christian" science to mainstream science? Is creationism or intelligent design a "science" on the same footing with neo-Darwinism? Is the integrity of science today in danger of religious control? In this volume, Jones provides an illuminating history of the role of Christian ideas in the physical and biological sciences from the Middle Ages to today. He reveals the failure of the popular "war" and "harmony" models for the relation of religion and science and shows that a "control" model does work to explain the complex history of religion and science. ![]() Free Download Food, Environmental Degradation and Injustices: How the Way We Eat Will Destroy Us by Simon Sneddon English | 2025 | ISBN: 303187899X | 183 Pages | True ePUB | 0.43 MB ![]() Free Download Food, Environmental Degradation and Injustices: How the Way We Eat Will Destroy Us by Simon Sneddon English | 2025 | ISBN: 303187899X | 183 Pages | True PDF | 3.7 MB ![]() Free Download Harriet Brown, "Food from the Sun: How Plants Live and Grow (Let's Explore Science)" English | 2008 | pages: 47 | ISBN: 1600446000, 1612362354 | PDF | 3,0 mb Discusses photosynthesis, how plants use water and soil, how things move inside a plant, how plants reproduce, seeds, survival in tough situations, and the effect of global warming on plants. ![]() Free Download Food You Want to Eat by Thomas Straker English | August 12th, 2025 | ISBN: 1639736646 | 288 pages | True EPUB | 133.81 MB Chef Thomas Straker shares the Food You Want to Eat in over 100 classic recipes for cooking at home.
