![]() Free Download Creep Mechanics by Josef Betten English | PDF | 2008 | 378 Pages | ISBN : 3540850503 | 7.1 MB The simplest way to formulate the basic equations of continuum mech- ics and the constitutive or evolutional equations of various materials is to restrict ourselves to rectangular cartesian coordinates. However, solving p- ticular problems, for instance in Chapter 5, it may be preferable to work in terms of more suitable coordinate systems and their associated bases. The- fore, Chapter 2 is also concerned with the standard techniques of tensor an- ysis in general coordinate systems. Creep mechanics is a part of continuum mechanics, like elasticity or pl- ticity. Therefore, some basic equations of continuum mechanics are put - gether in Chapter 3. These equations can apply equally to all materials and they are insuf?cient to describe the mechanical behavior of any particular material. Thus, we need additional equations characterizing the individual material and its reaction under creep condition according to Chapter 4, which is subdivided into three parts: the primary, the secondary, and the tertiary creep behavior of isotropic and anisotropic materials. The creep behavior of a thick-walled tube subjected to internal pressure is discussed in Chapter 5. The tube is partly plastic and partly elastic at time zero. The investigation is based upon the usual assumptions of incompre- ibility and zero axial creep. The creep deformations are considered to be of such magnitude that the use of ?nite-strain theory is necessary. The inner and outer radius, the stress distributions as functions of time, and the cre- failure time are calculated. ![]() Free Download Continuum Mechanics of Anisotropic Materials by Stephen C. Cowin English | PDF (True) | 2013 | 434 Pages | ISBN : 1461450241 | 7 MB Continuum Mechanics of Anisotropic Materials(CMAM) presents an entirely new and unique development of material anisotropy in the context of an appropriate selection and organization of continuum mechanics topics. These features will distinguish this continuum mechanics book from other books on this subject. Textbooks on continuum mechanics are widely employed in engineering education, however, none of them deal specifically with anisotropy in materials. For the audience of Biomedical, Chemical and Civil Engineering students, these materials will be dealt with more frequently and greater accuracy in their analysis will be desired. Continuum Mechanics of Anisotropic Materials' author has been a leader in the field of developing new approaches for the understanding of anisotropic materials. ![]() Free Download Constitution of Organs of the Higher Plants: The multiple secondary axis theory by Chi Yen English | EPUB | 2022 | 167 Pages | ISBN : 9811916845 | 127.8 MB This book written by Professor Chi Yen of Sichuan Agricultural University in Chinese was published by China Agriculture Press (ISBN 978-7-109-22791-0). It describes a new theory on the constitution of organs of the higher plants based on experimental evidence, the multiple secondary axis theory. ![]() Free Download Conservation and Painting Techniques of Wall Paintings on the Ancient Silk Road by Shigeo Aoki English | EPUB | 2021 | 330 Pages | ISBN : 9813341602 | 170.2 MB This book presents recent research on ancient Silk Road wall paintings, providing an up-to-date analysis of their coloring materials and techniques, and of developments in efforts to preserve them. ![]() Free Download Configurational Forces as Basic Concepts of Continuum Physics by Morton E. Gurtin English | PDF | 2000 | 248 Pages | ISBN : 0387986677 | 3.1 MB For the last decade, the author has been working to extend continuum mechanics to treat moving boundaries in materials focusing, in particular, on problems of metallurgy. This monograph presents a rational treatment of the notion of configurational forces; it is an effort to promote a new viewpoint. Included is a presentation of configurational forces within a classical context and a discussion of their use in areas as diverse as phase transitions and fracture. The work should be of interest to materials scientists, mechanicians, and mathematicians. ![]() Free Download Configuration Spaces: Geometry, Combinatorics and Topology by A. Bjorner, F. Cohen, C. Concini, C. Procesi, M. Salvetti English | PDF (True) | 2012 | 547 Pages | ISBN : 887642430X | 3.4 MB These proceedings contain the contributions of some of the participants in the "intensive research period" held at the De Giorgi Research Center in Pisa, during the period May-June 2010. The central theme of this research period was the study of configuration spaces from various points of view. This topic originated from the intersection of several classical theories: Braid groups and related topics, configurations of vectors (of great importance in Lie theory and representation theory), arrangements of hyperplanes and of subspaces, combinatorics, singularity theory. Recently, however, configuration spaces have acquired independent interest and indeed the contributions in this volume go far beyond the above subjects, making it attractive to a large audience of mathematicians. ![]() Free Download Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, and Graphics: 7th National Conference, NCVPRIPG 2019, Hubballi, India, December 22-24, 2019, Revised Selected Papers by R.
