By transmutation is meant the transition in the language of humour when it crosses its own boundaries to provoke unprecedented reactions resulting in offensiveness, disappointment or hurt sentiment. The transmutability about the language of humour points to its inherently diabolical nature which manifests in the performance of controversial cartoons. The model is built by borrowing theoretical cues from Roman Jakobson, Roland Barthes, George Lakoff and Mark Johnson. The integrated model, then, is developed to examine the cartoons which were recommended for deletion by the Thorat Committee, following a cartoon controversy in India. Through the cartoon analysis, the model discerns the significance of context and temporality in determining the impact of humour. It also examines how the ethics of humour;the blurred lines of political correctness and incorrectness are dictated by the political atmosphere and the power dynamics. ![]() Free Download Jack Deshazer, "The Land Beyond All Roads" English | 2019 | ISBN: 1647649722 | EPUB | pages: 324 | 29.6 mb My purpose in writing this book was to write these true stories so you, the reader, can envision yourself with me at the time of the event. First only in Asian countries and then around the world, the rising popularity of the Korean Wave continued within the pandemic―despite or even because of policies of digital lockdowns. Partially, this has been by design as Korea for decades has had a very strong fast development drive in telecommunications and that aided the growth of its cultural wave. Partially however, this became exclusively by default how the Korean Wave had to spread increasingly in a digital manner after 2020 globally, in response to many countries' rules regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in their attempts to enforce a decline in face-to-face content consumption. In retrospect, this has meant only more digital growth and innovation for the Korean Wave in past years compared to other cultures' entertainment complexes that suffered more. Korea's earlier digital readiness combined with later lockdownconditions and pushed the Korean Wave further ahead. ![]() Free Download The Knowledge Base in Educational Administration : Multiple Perspectives By Robert Donmoyer; Michael Imber; James Joseph Scheurich 1995 | 175 Pages | ISBN: 0791423867 | PDF | 1 MB This anthology summarizes and critiques the current knowledge base in the field of educational administration. For scholars and practitioners who are interested in or are concerned about knowledge-based issues, this book provides a needed antidote to narrow discussions of foundational issues. The editors of this book maintain that discussions of a knowledge base in educational administration have typically been limited to a fairly traditional range of scholarly commentary reflective of the status quo within departments of educational administration over the past several decades. Other views, such as feminist views, race/ethnic-based orientations, those that dispute the very idea of a knowledge base, and those that simply expand the traditional range, have been given little attention within the knowledge-base discourse. The purpose of this book is, thus, to open up this discourse by broadening the range of viewpoints being considered.Robert Donmoyer is Professor, Educational Policy & Leadership, The Ohio State University. He is co-editor, with Raylene Kos, of At-Risk Students: Portraits, Policies, Programs, and Practices, also published by SUNY Press. Michael Imber is Professor, Educational Policy & Leadership, University of Kansas. James Joseph Scheurich is Assistant Professor, Educational Administration, The University of Texas at Austin. ![]() Free Download The Kihansi Spray Toad (Nectophrynoides asperginis): Crisis Biology in the 21st Century by William D.
