Free Download Andrew Adamatzky, "Handbook of Unconventional Computing: Theory / Implementations"
English | 2021 | ISBN: 9811235031 | PDF | pages: 1207 | 266.5 mb
Did you know that computation can be implemented with cytoskeleton networks, chemical reactions, liquid marbles, plants, polymers and dozens of other living and inanimate substrates? Do you know what is reversible computing or a DNA microscopy? Are you aware that randomness aids computation? Would you like to make logical circuits from enzymatic reactions? Have you ever tried to implement digital logic with Minecraft? Do you know that eroding sandstones can compute too? This volume reviews most of the key attempts in coming up with an alternative way of computation. In doing so, the authors show that we do not need computers to compute and we do not need computation to infer. It invites readers to rethink the computer and computing, and appeals to computer scientists, mathematicians, physicists and philosophers. The topics are presented in a lively and easily accessible manner and make for ideal supplementary reading across a broad range of subjects.Related Link(s)

Free Download Handbook of Turbulence: Volume 1 Fundamentals and Applications by Walter Frost, Trevor H. Moulden
English | PDF | 1977 | 510 Pages | ISBN : 146842324X | 59.5 MB
Turbulence takes place in practically all flow situations that occur naturally or in modern technological systems. Therefore, considerable effort is being expended in an attempt to understand this very complex physical phenome non and to develop both empirical and mathematical models for its description. Such numerical and analytical computational schemes would allow the reliable prediction and design of turbulent flow processes to be carried out. The purpose of this book is to bring together, in a usable form, some of the fundamental concepts of turbulence along with turbulence models and experimental techniques. It is hoped that these have "general applicability" in current engineering design. The phrase "general applicabil ity" is highlighted because the theory of turbulence is still so much in a formative stage that completely general analyses are not available now, nor will they be available in the immediate future. The concepts and models described herein represent the state-of-the art methods that are now being used to give answers to turbulent flow problems. As in all turbulent flow analysis, the methods are a blend of analytical and empirical input, and the reader should be cognizant of the simplification and restrictions imposed upon the methods when applyingthem to physical situations different from those for which they have been developed.

Free Download Handbook of Memristor Networks by Leon Chua
English | EPUB | 2019 | 1357 Pages | ISBN : 3319763741 | 262.4 MB
This Handbook presents all aspects of memristor networks in an easy to read and tutorial style. Including many colour illustrations, it covers the foundations of memristor theory and applications, the technology of memristive devices, revised models of the Hodgkin-Huxley Equations and ion channels, neuromorphic architectures, and analyses of the dynamic behaviour of memristive networks. It also shows how to realise computing devices, non-von Neumann architectures and provides future building blocks for deep learning hardware.

Free Download Handbook of Brownian Motion by Andrei N. Borodin , Paavo Salminen
English | PDF | 1996 | 478 Pages | ISBN : N/A | 23.7 MB
There are two parts in this book. The first part is devoted mainly to the proper ties of linear diffusions in general and Brownian motion in particular. The second part consists of tables of distributions of functionals of Brownian motion and re lated processes. The primary aim of this book is to give an easy reference to a large number of facts and formulae associated to Brownian motion. We have tried to do this in a "handbook-style". By this we mean that results are given without proofs but are equipped with a reference where a proof or a derivation can be found. It is our belief and experience that such a material would be very much welcome by students and people working with applications of diffusions and Brownian motion. In discussions with many of our colleagues we have found that they share this point of view. Our original plan included more things than we were able to realize. It turned out very soon when trying to put the plan into practice that the material would be too wide to be published under one cover. Excursion theory, which most of the recent results concerning linear Brownian motion and diffusions can be classified as, is only touched upon slightly here, not to mention Brownian motion in several dimensions which enters only through the discussion of Bessel processes. On the other hand, much attention is given to the theory of local time.

Free Download Hammertoes: A Case-Based Approach by Emily A. Cook
English | EPUB | 2019 | 419 Pages | ISBN : 3319165518 | 203.1 MB
Comprised exclusively of clinical cases demonstrating the various management strategies for hammertoes, this concise, practical casebook will provide foot and ankle surgeons with the best real-world strategies to properly treat these frequent deformities of the lower extremity and their complications. Beginning with a review of the relevant anatomy and biomechanics of the toe, each subsequent chapter includes case material with a unique clinical presentation, followed by a description of the diagnosis, assessment and management techniques used to treat it, as well as the case outcome, literature review and clinical pearls and pitfalls. Chapters included illustrate different surgical fixation techniques, including PIPJ arthroplasty and arthrodesis, tendon transfers and tenotomies, and osteotomies, as well as management strategies for complications.
