Free Download Graph Convolutional Neural Networks for Computer Vision
English | 2026 | ISBN: 1394356331 | 297 Pages | PDF, EPUB (True) | 40 MB
In the last decade, computer vision has become a major focus for addressing the world's growing processing needs. Many existing deep learning architectures for computer vision challenges are based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Despite their great achievements, CNNs struggle to encode the intrinsic graph patterns in specific learning tasks. In contrast, graph convolutional networks have been used to address several computer vision issues with equivalent or superior results. The use of GCNNs has shown significant achievement in image classifications, video understanding, point clouds, meshes, and other applications in natural language processing. This book focuses on the applications of graph convolutional networks in computer vision. Through expert insights, it explores how researchers are finding ways to perform convolution algorithms on graphs to improve the way we use machine learning.

Free Download Governing Digital China
English | 2026 | ISBN: 1009360655 | 315 Pages | PDF | 5 MB
China's approach to digital governance has gained global influence, often evoking Orwellian 'Big Brother' comparisons. Governing Digital China challenges this perception, arguing that China's approach is radically different in practice. This book explores the logic of popular corporatism, highlighting the bottom-up influences of China's largest platform firms and its citizens. Drawing on extensive fieldwork and nationally representative surveys, the authors track governance of social media and commercial social credit ratings during both the Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping eras. Their findings reveal how Chinese tech companies such as Tencent, Sina, Baidu, and Alibaba, have become consultants and insiders to the state, thus forming a state-company partnership. Meanwhile, citizens voluntarily produce data, incentivizing platform firms to cater to their needs and motivating resistance by platforms. Daniela Stockmann and Ting Luo unveil the intricate mechanisms linking the state, platform firms, and citizens in the digital governance of authoritarian states.

Free Download Governance, Risk and Compliance: Demystifying the Risk and Data Privacy Landscape
English | 2026 | ISBN: 1032890584 | 206 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 16 MB
This book on Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) and Data Privacy is designed to equip apprentices, students and professionals across various industries with a deep understanding of this holistic approach to organizational security and risk management, quality management and regulatory responsibilities. It involves aligning a company's governance structure, quality and risk processes and compliance and data privacy activities to better enable the achievement of the company's strategic goals. It also looks at what is an Enterprise Security Architecture through the lenses of TOGAF and SABSA, which isn't about the technical implementation; think of building a house where you get an architect to design it and you ensure the construction is aligned to best practices and your goals.

Free Download Governance, Ignorance, and Archives: Sharing Critical Information in Contemporary Japanese Society by Keiji Fujiyoshi
English | November 23, 2025 | ISBN: 9819519616 | 126 pages | True ePUB, PDF | 4.51 Mb
Taking Japan as a heuristic example, this book explores the significance of neatly kept and classified records and archives to maintain a democratic society. Japan adopted constitutional monarchy as a state system in the nineteenth century and then amended it to become a democracy in the twentieth century. How the evaluation of public and governmental records has and has not changed for almost a century is an indication of the maturity of democracy in Japan. How and to what extent the records of the government are disclosed to and shared with the public are among the fundamental criteria to assess the quality and maturity of democracy in a society. From this point of view, the book examines the current status of records and archives management in several spheres of Japanese society, with some international comparative studies as well. On the one hand, Japan is a society that has attached great importance to written documents, which is evident when one sees how carefully ordinary people kept diverse kinds of documents even in the pre-modern period. On the other hand, the public at large has long been indifferent to the records and archives that serve as fundamental infrastructure to keep the governance of society transparent and accountable. By examining those contradictory aspects of the attitudes toward records and archives in Japanese society, this book provides the key elements of management of critical information for a democratic society.
