Free Download Michael Kerrigan - World War II Plans That Never Happened 1939-45
Amber Books | 2011 | ISBN: 1907446648 | English | 204 pages | PDF | 160.63 MB
A Nazi scheme to capture the Pope, an IRA plan to invade Northern Ireland, a British plan to attack the Soviet Union after the defeat of Hitler or a Japanese seizure of the Panama Canal - it may sound unbelievable, but during World War II these operations and others as seemingly far-fetched were seriously considered by both the Allies and the Axis. World War II Plans That Never Happened tells the stories of some of the most secret and outrageous operations that were planned during the war, many of which could have taken place and might well have changed the course of history: from the German plan to seize bases in Spain and Portugal and invade Switzerland, to the Japanese plan to bomb the United States, to the American plan to use Marines to attack V-1 bases in Europe, and the British plan to invade Norway and Sweden in 1939/40. Using documents newly released from war archives, World War II Plans That Never Happened explains the context of each planned operation and explores whether it might have been successful, and what the impact might have been on the war if it had gone ahead. Arranged chronologically, the book includes copies and transcripts of previously secret documents, rare color and black & white photographs, illustrations and maps. World War II Plans That Never Happened will prove fascinating to anyone interested in World War II.

Free Download J. H. J. Andriessen - World War I In Photographs
Grange Books | 2003 | ISBN: 1840135549 | English | 605 pages | PDF | 211.4 MB
Big book with a good overview of battles, it covers pre-war tensions all the way to the Treaty of Versaille. This isn't just a picture book, it is a discussion and well done. It is most accurate. But this is the largest collection of photos Ive ever seen. Has different sections on the naval vs. land war and America entering the war. Even includes the Russian revolution. Some of the photos are so obscure that I had never seen then before like training, hospital ships and the giant bone piles of dead soldiers which is really gross. Photos are from American, British, German, Japanese and all different sources.

Free Download Bill Gunston - World Encyclopedia of Aircraft Manufacturers: From the Pioneers to the Present Day
Patrick Stephens Ltd | 1993 | ISBN: 1852602058 | English | 342 pages | PDF | 115.11 MB
Here, within one book, is a comprehensive and authoritative survey of man's attempts to design, develop and mass-produce airplanes and rotorcraft since 1852. More than 3,000 entries, illustrated with some 1,000 photographs, feature oddball contraptions and their eccentric designers, as well as the big companies whose aircraft have become household names. So, along with big organizations like Grumman, Messerschmitt, Supermarine and Sikorsky, are the enthusiasts who built a single machine in their backyard or, like V.B. Shavrov, in their tiny one-bedroom apartment! Global in scope, this new edition reflects the fundamental changes that have occurred in the aviation industry since the turn of the millennium. Each entry indicates the nationality of the company or individual concerned; while it may not come as much of a surprise to see the USA, France, the UK and Germany heading the league table of countries with the most manufacturers, readers may be interested to discover Brazil with 35, South Korea with eight - and the Channel Islands and Luxembourg with one entry apiece.
