Free Download Theatre of the Oppressed By Augusto Boal
2008 | 192 Pages | ISBN: 0745328385 | PDF | 1 MB
Part of Pluto's 21st birthday series Get Political, which brings essential political writing in a range of fields to a new audience. 'One of the most revered figures in world theatre ...the liberation theologian of theatre.' Guardian 'Should be read by everyone in the world of theatre who has any pretensions at all to political commitment.' John Arden 'So remarkable, so original and so ground-breaking that I have no hesitation in describing the book as the most important theoretical work on the theatre in modern times.' George Wellwarth ''Theatre is a weapon...A weapon for liberation.'' This new edition of Theatre of the Oppressed brings a classic work on radical drama fully up to date and includes a new foreword by the author Augusto Boal. Boal restores theatre to its proper place as a popular form of communication and expression. He demonstrates the ways in which theatre has come to reflect ruling-class control, drawing on the theories of Aristotle and Machiavelli. He then shows the process reversed in Brechtian/Marxist poetics to the revolutionary potential of transforming the spectator into the actor. Throughout, Boal draws on his own experience in Latin America and illustrates his theory with practical examples.

Free Download The system of pronouns of address in european portuguese (Lingüística Iberoamericana Book 103)
English | December 22, 2025 | ASIN: B0GBVMC7MV | 309 pages | EPUB (True) | 3.30 MB
This book shows the current system of pronouns and forms of address in European Portuguese, thanks to fieldwork carried out throughout continental Portugal and its archipelagos. By means of an innovative method to prompt spontaneous and quantitative data, this monograph provides the paradigm that rules nowadays, together with the geographical, sociolinguistic, pragmatic and grammatical factors that affect one of the most complex and volatile phenomena in Lusophone linguistics. The results show a country extremely sensitive to politeness and distance, undergoing multiple pragmatic changes, and creating an innovative tripartite system both in singular and plural that contradicts cross-linguistic tendencies

Free Download The problem-solving process in modern organizations: Learning from psychosocial theories by Seyed Ali Fallahchay
English | December 1, 2022 | ISBN: 1774694190 | 243 pages | PDF | 8.36 Mb
The past may not always be a good indicator of the present or the future. Hence, the organization must cultivate the foresight and patience to be able to evaluate a problem solution in an objective manner. Psychosocial theories have tried to explain, predict, and describe organizational problems. This has been done to make it easier to solve any challenges that organizations face over time. This book offers a unique opportunity to explore the classic problem-solving process from a theoretical and practical point of view. It will be a useful text for undergraduates in a range of disciplines that include business management, administration, entrepreneurship, psychology, social work, and leadership studies.

Free Download The meaning of relativity By Albert Einstein, Brian Greene
2004 | 103 Pages | ISBN: 0691120277 | PDF | 1 MB
In 1921, five years after the appearance of his comprehensive paper on general relativity and twelve years before he left Europe permanently to join the Institute for Advanced Study, Albert Einstein visited Princeton University, where he delivered the Stafford Little Lectures for that year. These four lectures constituted an overview of his then controversial theory of relativity. Princeton University Press made the lectures available under the title The Meaning of Relativity, the first book by Einstein to be produced by an American publisher. As subsequent editions were brought out by the Press, Einstein included new material amplifying the theory. A revised version of the appendix "Relativistic Theory of the Non-Symmetric Field," added to the posthumous edition of 1956, was Einstein's last scientific paper.
