ApulSoft ApVerb is an algorithmic reverb plugin designed to create smooth, flexible reverberation and experimental spatial effects. Its reverb engine uses thousands of semi-randomly positioned delay lines based on the concept of velvet noise, producing dense reverb tails with controlled resonance and broad stereo characteristics.
The delay lines can be processed through filters and additional effects to produce conventional reverb textures as well as less traditional time-based effects. A set of 23 curve-based, multi-segment envelopes provides detailed control over how reverb parameters evolve over time, allowing users to shape volume, density, filtering, effects, and stereo behavior throughout the reverb.
ApVerb also provides host-tempo synchronization for envelope and pre-delay timing, an early-reflection generator based on simulated room geometries, and dynamics processing for controlling the wet signal. These functions make it suitable for both standard spatial processing and rhythmic or evolving reverb designs.
