The Congress became the most important national party in twentieth century India, and the whole history of the freedom movement is closely bound up with its fortunes. National politics, however, were influenced by regional and local affairs. In the early twentieth century the Indian Congress was split between the 'Moderates' and the 'Extremists'. Dr Johnson argues that this division was closely related to existing rivalries between politicians in the provinces, and that provincial interests determined their national point of view. Because the early Congress depended so much for its regular organisation on men from Bombay, party lines in western India were particularly important in determining the course of the struggles between the parties in the National Congress. The unpublished letters and diaries of the protagonists in these disputes have enabled Dr Johnson to examine this theme in detail. This is the first book to stress the need for study of regional and local politics as an integral part of the history of the Congress. Its revelation of the complex connections between parochial, provincial and all India politics adds a new dimension to our understanding of nationalism in South Asia. ![]() Free Download Proton Therapy Physics by Paganetti, Harald English | 2025 | ISBN: 1032610867 | 701 pages | True PDF EPUB | 142.24 MB ![]() Free Download Giovanni Giambene, "Protocols for High-Efficiency Wireless Networks" English | 2002 | pages: 301 | ISBN: 1402073267 | PDF | 9,7 mb Radio transmissions have opened new frontiers allowing the exchange of information with remote units. From the first applications of telegraphy and radio broadcast, wireless transmissions have obtained a great success with the widespread diffusion of mobile communications. We live in the communication era, where any kind of information must be easy accessible to any user at any time. Mobile communication systems are the technical support that allows the realization of such concepts. With the term mobile communications we embrace a set of technologies for radio transmissions, network protocols, mobile terminals and network elements. The widespread diffusion of wireless communications is making national borders irrelevant in the design, delivery and billing of services, thus requiring international coordination of standardization efforts in order to evolve regional systems towards global ones. Parallel to the evolution of radio-mobile systems, we assist to the massive diffusion of Internet network and contents, thus allowing many users on the earth to be interconnected and to exchange any kind of information, data, images and so on. ![]() Free Download Dale L. We continue to want to understand propaganda's inner-workings and, in doing so, to control and confine its influence. We remain anxious about pernicious information warfare campaigns, especially those that seemingly endanger liberal democracy or freedom of thought. What are the challenges, then, of studying propaganda studies in the twenty-first century? Much scholarship remains locked into the study of state-led campaigns, however an area of special concern in recent years has been the loss of official control over the basic instruments of mass communication. This has been seen in the rise of 'fake news' and the ability of non-state actors to influence political events. This volume presents the latest research in propaganda studies, featuring contributions from a range of leading scholars and covering the most cutting-edge scholarship in the study of propaganda from World War I to the present. ![]() Free Download Jane Harries, "Promoting Personal Safety in PSHE" English | 2006 | pages: 225 | ISBN: 1412918235 | PDF | 4,8 mb Based on work done in secondary schools by the NSPCC, this PSHE curriculum resource gives young people the information and skills necessary to keep themselves ′safe′. ![]() Free Download Mark Woeppel, "Projects in Less Time:: A Synopsis of Critical Chain" English | 2005 | pages: 128 | ISBN: 1419620533 | PDF | 2,0 mb Everyone who has managed a project (or been involved in one) knows how difficult it is to finish on time. Its emphasis is on modular program construction: how to get the modules right and how to organize a program as a collection of modules. The book presents a methodology effective for either an individual programmer, who may be writing a small program or a single module in a larger one; or a software engineer, who may be part of a team developing a complex program comprised of many modules. Both audiences will acquire a solid foundation for object-oriented program design and component-based software development from this methodology. |
