The submissions were reviewed by at least three reviewers, in most cases by four, and for program committee (PC) papers at least ?ve reviewers. This long and rigorous process was only possible thanks to the hard work of the PC members and additional reviewers, listed in the following pages. We would like to express our gratitude to the PC members, who were very supportive from the very beginning of this project. Thanks are also due to the additional expert reviewers who helped the PC to select the ?nal 20 workshop papers for publication in the proceedings. Of course we highly appreciate the e?orts of all the authors who submitted papers to WISTP 2007. We hope they will contribute again to a future edition and encourage others to do so. ![]() Free Download Information Security Applications: 7th International Workshop, WISA 2006, Jeju Island, Korea, August 28-30, 2006, Revised Selected Papers By Wei Gao, Guilin Wang, Xueli Wang, Dongqing Xie (auth.), Jae Kwang Lee, Okyeon Yi, Moti Yung (eds.) 2007 | 410 Pages | ISBN: 3540710922 | PDF | 9 MB This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Workshop on Information Security Applications, WISA 2006, held in Jeju Island, Korea in August 2006.The 30 revised full papers presented were carefully selected during two rounds of reviewing and improvement from 146 submissions. ISC is an annual international conference covering research in theory and applications of information security, aiming to attract high quality papers in all of its technical aspects. ISC was ?rst initiated as a workshop (ISW) in Japan in 1997, ISW 1999 was held in Malaysia and ISW 2000 in Australia. The name was changed to the current one when the conf- ence was held in Spain in 2001 (ISC 2001). The latest conferences were held in Brazil (ISC 2002), the UK (ISC 2003), the USA (ISC 2004), Singapore (ISC 2005),and Greece (ISC 2006). This year the event wassponsored by the Univ- sidad T´ ecnica Federico Santa Mar´ ?a (Valpara´ ?so, Chile), the Support Center for AdvancedTelecommunicationsTechnologyResearch,Foundation,SCAT(Tokyo, Japan), Microsoft Corporation, and Yahoo! Research. Re?ectingtheconference'sbroadscope, thisyear'smainProgramCommittee consisted of a relatively large number (49) of experts. Additionally, given the timely topic of cryptanalysis and design of hash functions and the NIST hash competition, the conference also featured a special Hash Subcommittee, chaired by Arjen Lenstra (EPFL and Bell Labs), as well as a panel on hashing, chaired by Bill Burr (NIST). The conference received 116 submissions, 29 of which were selected by the committee members for presentation at the conference, based on quality, originality and relevance. Each paper was anonymously reviewed by at least three committee members. ![]() Free Download Indian Cinema and Human Rights: An Intersectional Tale by Adam Dubin, Ruchira Goswami English | 2025 | ISBN: 9819760275 | 374 Pages | True PDF | 4.9 MB ![]() Free Download Adam Dubin, "Indian Cinema and Human Rights: An Intersectional Tale" English | ISBN: 9819760275 | 2024 | 386 pages | EPUB | 3 MB This book examines the intersection between Indian cinema (across geographic regions, languages and formats) and human rights. It analyzes Indian cinema from multiple human rights perspectives, such as freedom of expression and censorship, socio-economic rights, caste rights, women's and children's rights and LGBTQIA+ equality. The book bridges human rights law and cinema studies, and opens up new research areas within sociocultural and socio-legal academic contexts. It also contributes to academic disicplines beyond Law and Cinema, including Media, Cultural, Gender, Socio-economic and Sociology studies and is relevant for Liberal Arts curricula, Law Schools and as a reference book in university libraries in India and internationally, especially in film institutes. Finally, the book offers practical implications for human rights activists and policymakers by exploring how rights can be advanced through cinema and pop culture. ![]() Free Download In Defense of Common Life: The Political Thought of Raquel Gutiérrez Aguilar by Raquel Gutiérrez Aguilar, Brian Whitener English | 2024 | ISBN: 1945335114 | 112 Pages | ePUB | 1.12 MB ![]() Free Download Image Processing: Dealing with Texture, 2nd Edition by Maria M. Initiated in 1979 by Torleiv Orhaug in Sweden, SCIA 2007 represented the 15th in the biennial series of conferences. It is arranged in turn by the Scandi- vian countries of Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway, making it a regional conference. However, judging by the nationalities of contributing authors and participants, it is also an international conference. Worldwide, there is no lack of conferences on image analysis. Indeed, hardly a day passes without an announcement of yet another conference. Therefore the pattern recognition societies of the Scandinavian countries take particular pride in being able to continue the SCIA tradition. SCIA has indeed matured over the many years it has been in existence, but in our opinion SCIA has maintained ?- ibility and has been able to adopt and incorporate necessary changes and adju- ments over that time span. An important key to the success of SCIA is the constant and continuing high quality of the scienti?c content. Furthermore, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the conference itself is well known within the community. The objective to keep in mind must be to continue along those lines. ![]() Free Download Leif Lewin, "Ideology and Strategy: A Century of Swedish Politics" English | 2004 | pages: 360 | ISBN: 0521031443, 0521343305 | DJVU | 2,4 mb This book empirically analyzes how a minority can succeed in having its way in a modern democracy. The author applies modern rational choice theory to examine such paradoxical triumphs in Swedish domestic politics over the past 100 years. Identifying Arrow's paradox, Prisoner's Dilemma, and other famous game-theoretic matrices, eight important issues in Swedish parliamentary history are explained: the tariff issue in the 1880s, the introduction of universal suffrage, the introduction of parliamentary government, the new economic politics during the 1930s, the debate on planned economies, the supplementary pensions issue, the nuclear power issue, and the wage earners' fund issue. For each, the author presents the outcome and its history, and the strategic behavior of the actors. |
