Daraus werden Entwicklungsszenarien im Rahmen einer Wohnquartierstypologie, „Tools" für Kommunen und die Wohnungswirtschaft („Quartiersentwicklungsmanagement") sowie ein demographisch orientiertes, zyklisches Governance-Modell der Quartiersentwicklung abgeleitet. Einzelnen Quartierstypen lassen sich damit verschiedene Zukunftskorridore zuordnen. Mit Hilfe solcher „strukturierter Zukünfte" kann die Entwicklung der Quartiere gezielter gesteuert und ein zu erwartender Quartierswandel einfacher kommuniziert werden.
