Deutsch | 2024 | ISBN: 9819973368 | 277 Pages | PDF (True) | 6 MB

Interest Rate Dynamics, Derivatives Pricing, and Risk Management
Free Download Interest Rate Dynamics, Derivatives Pricing, and Risk Management By Lin Chen (auth.)
1996 | 152 Pages | ISBN: 3540608141 | PDF | 5 MB
There are two types of tenn structure models in the literature: the equilibrium models and the no-arbitrage models. And there are, correspondingly, two types of interest rate derivatives pricing fonnulas based on each type of model of the tenn structure. The no-arbitrage models are characterized by the work of Ho and Lee (1986), Heath, Jarrow, and Morton (1992), Hull and White (1990 and 1993), and Black, Dennan and Toy (1990). Ho and Lee (1986) invent the no-arbitrage approach to the tenn structure modeling in the sense that the model tenn structure can fit the initial (observed) tenn structure of interest rates. There are a number of disadvantages with their model. First, the model describes the whole volatility structure by a sin gle parameter, implying a number of unrealistic features. Furthennore, the model does not incorporate mean reversion. Black-Dennan-Toy (1990) develop a model along tbe lines of Ho and Lee. They eliminate some of the problems of Ho and Lee (1986) but create a new one: for a certain specification of the volatility function, the short rate can be mean-fteeting rather than mean-reverting. Heath, Jarrow and Morton (1992) (HJM) construct a family of continuous models of the term struc ture consistent with the initial tenn structure data.

Initial Public Offerings Findings and Theories
Free Download Initial Public Offerings: Findings and Theories By Seth C. Anderson, T. Randolph Beard, Jeffery A. Born (auth.)
1995 | 111 Pages | ISBN: 1461359694 | PDF | 3 MB
Initial public offerings (IPOs) play a crucial role in allocating resources in market economies. Because of the enormous importance of IPOs, an understanding of how IPOs work is fundamental to an understanding of financial markets generally. Of particular interest is the puzzling existence of high initial returns to equity IPOs in the United States and other free-market economies. Audience: Designed for use by anyone wishing to perform further academic research in the area of IPOs and by those practitioners interested in IPOs as investment vehicles.

Inherited Echoes The Dance of Nature and Nurture in Personal Growth
Free Download Inherited Echoes: The Dance of Nature and Nurture in Personal Growth by bright days
English | November 7, 2024 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B0DM6B7TPD | 100 pages | EPUB | 1.12 Mb
The debate surrounding nature versus nurture has deep historical roots, tracing back to ancient philosophical inquiries about the origins of human behavior and personality. Philosophers like Plato and Aristotle pondered the influences of innate qualities versus external experiences, setting the stage for centuries of discussion. In the Enlightenment period, thinkers such as John Locke introduced the concept of the mind as a blank slate, emphasizing the role of experience in shaping individuals. This philosophical backdrop laid the groundwork for future scientific inquiry into the genetic and environmental factors that contribute to personal growth.

Improving the Academic Writing Experience in Higher Education
Free Download Tatiana Sanches, "Improving the Academic Writing Experience in Higher Education"
English | ISBN: 153615671X | 2019 | 190 pages | PDF | 4 MB
To fulfill their academic purposes in higher education, students must mobilize knowledge learned in the classroom, but also obtained individually and with access to a variety of sources, in particular, the information resources available in their libraries. To achieve an academic degree as master or doctor, information resources grow in importance and meaning, since because from them a great part of the theoretical and methodological support is obtained for the pursuit of this purpose. The validation of their learning is carried out in large part by the written presentation of these academic works. The book reflects on the importance of academic writing and presents methods and techniques for writing in a grounded manner. The contributions that make up the book Improving the Academic Writing Experience in Higher Education aim to bring ideas and share experiences, broaden horizons and shed some light on the landscape of academic writing. The different formulations, perspectives, and approaches are divided into two parts: the first one with a conceptual point of view, explaining the importance of the development of academic writing within the university and theorizing about the transformative impact of this practice on the higher education student. The second one seeks to bring a more practical, diversified and comprehensive contribution to the thematic and to respond to the challenge of professionals related to the area particularly those involved in higher education libraries, but not only and who work with the transformation of information into knowledge. Through concrete tips for writing appropriately in a university context, the focus is on how and why to write well. The challenge that mobilized the achievement of this book was to encourage better learning and academic success, through awareness of a concrete action of teachers, students, and librarians who, in higher education, develop their activities in support of academic writing. We hope, therefore, that this will be a catalyst for renewed learning around this subject.
