Nonlinear and Dynamic Programming An Introduction
Free Download Nonlinear and Dynamic Programming: An Introduction by Sven Danø
English | PDF | 1975 | 165 Pages | ISBN : 321181289X | 15.9 MB
This book is intended to provide an introductory text of Nonlinear and Dynamic Programming for students of managerial economics and operations research. The author also hopes that engineers, business executives, managers, and others responsible for planning of industrial operations may find it useful as a guide to the problems and methods treated, with a view to practical applications. The book may be considered as a sequel to the author's Linear Programming in Industry (1960, 4th revised and enlarged edition 1974), but it can be used independently by readers familiar with the elements of linear programming models and techniques. The two volumes con stitute an introduction to the methods of mathematical programming and their application to industrial optimization problems. The author feels that the vast and ever-increasing literature on mathematical programming has not rendered an introductory exposition super fluous. The general student often tends to feel somewhat lost if he goes straight to the special literature; he will be better equipped for tackling real problems and using computer systems if he has acquired some previous training in constructing small-scale programming models and applying standard algorithms for solving them by hand. The book is intended to provide this kind of training, keeping the mathematics at the necessary minimum. The text contains numerous exercises. The reader should work out these problems for himself and check with the answers given at the end of the book. The text is based on lectures given at the University of Copenhagen.

Noncommutative Geometry and Physics Renormalisation, Motives, Index Theory
Free Download Alan Carey, "Noncommutative Geometry and Physics: Renormalisation, Motives, Index Theory "
English | ISBN: 3037190086 | 2011 | 280 pages | PDF | 1455 KB
This collection of expository articles grew out of the workshop "Number Theory and Physics" held in March 2009 at The Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematical Physics, Vienna. The common theme of the articles is the influence of ideas from noncommutative geometry (NCG) on subjects ranging from number theory to Lie algebras, index theory, and mathematical physics. Matilde Marcolli's article gives a survey of relevant aspects of NCG in number theory, building on an introduction to motives for beginners by Jorge Plazas and Sujatha Ramdorai. A mildly unconventional view of index theory, from the viewpoint of NCG, is described in the article by Alan Carey, John Phillips, and Adam Rennie. As developed by Alain Connes and Dirk Kreimer, NCG also provides insight into novel algebraic structures underlying many analytic aspects of quantum field theory. Dominique Manchon's article on pre-Lie algebras fits into this developing research area. This interplay of algebraic and analytic techniques also appears in the articles by Christoph Bergbauer, who introduces renormalization theory and Feynman diagram methods, and Sylvie Paycha, who focuses on relations between renormalization and zeta function techniques. A publication of the European Mathematical Society (EMS). Distributed within the Americas by the American Mathematical Society.

Non–Hodgkin`s Lymphoma in Childhood and Adolescence (2024)
Free Download Non-Hodgkin`s Lymphoma in Childhood and Adolescence by Oussama Abla
English | EPUB | 2019 | 376 Pages | ISBN : 3030117685 | 124 MB
This text provides a state-of-the-art overview on Non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma (NHL) in children and adolescents. The volume is divided into seven sections, each of which focuses on a critical component of pediatric NHL, including history and epidemiology, pathology and molecular biology, disease evaluation and response, common and rare sub-types of NHL, and current and novel treatment strategies. The text also comprehensively reviews the late effects of treatment, quality of patient life, and NHL treatment in countries with limited resources.

Non–Canonical Questions
Free Download Andreas Trotzke, "Non-Canonical Questions"
English | ISBN: 0192872281 | 2024 | 224 pages | PDF | 2 MB
This book is the first to present a comprehensive theory of non-canonical questions, those question types that do not (only) request information from the addressee, but rather (additionally) tell us something about the speaker's epistemic and/or emotional state, such as can't-find-the-value questions, echo questions, rhetorical questions, and surprise questions. While much recent research has explored the formal semantics and the phonetics and phonology of both canonical and non-canonical questions, the literature is still lacking a comprehensive account from a syntax-pragmatics perspective that brings together the multiple findings and strands of research from the last twenty years.

Nomadic Connectivity An Ethnography of Walad Djifir Navigating Insecurities in Central Africa
Free Download Inge Butter, "Nomadic Connectivity: An Ethnography of Walad Djifir Navigating Insecurities in Central Africa "
English | ISBN: 3110714604 | 2023 | 253 pages | EPUB, PDF | 17 MB + 6 MB
A focus on the everyday has produced this ethnography, which hopes to give a nuanced voice to an extended family of semi-sedentary nomads, living at the centre of a country and region known for its political turmoil, ecological insecurities, and socio-economic hardship. The everyday of the Chadian Walad Djifir is one in which sedentarity and mobility are approached as two entwined parts of a whole, and where economic and geographical boundaries do not necessarily form constrictions. The ferīkh (nomadic camp) is where all of the Walad Djifir's networks meet, and often also begin― a physical place embodying various networks and connections, which span time and geographical space. This analytical and methodological approach gives insight in how regional trends can be understood in light of the Walad Djifir's daily lives. Over time, the Walad Djifir have developed ways of coping and dealing with insecurities, interacting with infrastructural, technological, and socio-political developments in specific ways. In exploring how such insecurities and crises become anchored into the everyday, the ferīkh provides answers. It is precisely the mundane elements of daily life which anchor disruption.

No tan rápido Cómo orientar a sus adolescentes acerca de los peligros de conducir

Most driving literature for parents focuses on how to teach a teen to drive, without explaining why teen driving is so dangerous in the first place or giving parents a plan to preempt the hazards teens face. By contrast, No tan rápido empowers and guides parents to understand the causes and situations that most often lead to teen crashes and to take specific, proactive steps-before and each time a teen driver gets behind the wheel-to counteract them. This authoritative guide tackles hot button issues such as texting and distracted driving, parenting attitudes (conscious and unconscious), and teen impairment and fatigue-and includes a combination of topics not found in other teen driving guides, such as:
