Learning pediatrics without a doubt is the requirement for the MBBS course, and this book aims to let the students learn in a more structured way to help them understand the topics and retain the facts longer. The presentation of the text is based on the idea that it is difficult to find a single source where the undergraduate students could study pediatrics comprehensively, concisely and revise it as quickly as possible, and also ensure that the revision is complete and thorough. The matter reinforces the concepts and makes learning pediatrics easier and interesting. English | ISBN: 3030948579 | 2022 | 337 pages | EPUB | 554 KB
This first volume, History and its Betrayal, traces the development of major themes of liberalism from the increase in human population beyond the limits of the face-to-face society of tribalism and small groups up until the present day. It shows that the principles underlying liberalism are the evolutionary development of social organizations that have resulted from the complexity of human action rather than any conscious design or purpose.

Free Download Åke Wahlberg, "Resolving Disagreements: A Semantic and Epistemological Inquiry "
English | ISBN: 3031504100 | 2024 | 222 pages | EPUB | 541 KB
This book examines how the semantics and metaphysics of disagreement affect the epistemology of disagreement. It thus broadens the philosophical discourse by relating the epistemological discussion of (peer) disagreement to inquiries into the nature of disagreement and disagreeing. By doing this, it paints a new picture of the epistemological situation evoked by disagreement: To the same extent that an interpersonal dispute undermines the justification of the disputing persons' beliefs, it also presents an obstacle to interpersonal understanding. This follows from the nature of meaning, belief and communication, rightly understood. In demonstrating the relevance of this to philosophical reflections on peer disagreement and resolution of disagreement, the book addresses arguably the most contentious kind of disagreement, namely, religious disagreement. It shows that apparent disagreement in religion suggests that the dialog partners might not have reached sufficient mutual understanding. This has important ramifications for the rationally right conduct in the face of religious disagreement, and for the possibility of rational resolution of religious disputes.

English | ISBN: 3030950093 | 2022 | 226 pages | EPUB | 421 KB
This book studies journalism in Cyprus to understand how journalists negotiate their roles and responsibilities in conflict-affected societies. In Cyprus, journalism has navigated through the pressures and challenges of intercommunal and political tensions. The book outlines a historical context of the conflict, also known as the Cyprus problem and discusses the news media's involvement in it. It studies professional and ethical challenges journalists experience, especially when reporting intercommunal relations. Finally, it explores the impact of digital media on journalism and the public debate on the Cyprus problem.
