![]() Free Download Silke Strickrodt, "Afro-European Trade in the Atlantic World: The Western Slave Coast, c. 1550- c. 1885" English | 2017 | ISBN: 1847011780, 1847011101 | EPUB | pages: 280 | 4.6 mb A uniquely detailed account of the dynamics of Afro-European trade in two states on the western Slave Coast over three centuries and the transition from slave trade to legitimate commerce. ![]() Free Download Adobe Creative Team, "Adobe After Effects Cs6 Classroom in a Book (Classroom in a Book" English | 2012 | ISBN: 0321822439 | PDF | pages: 398 | 218.5 mb Creative professionals seeking the fastest, easiest, most comprehensive way to learn Adobe After Effects CS6 choose Adobe After Effects CS6 Classroom in a Book from the Adobe Creative Team at Adobe Press. The Life of Assia Wevill. Ted Hughes' Doomed Love By Koren, Yehuda; Negev, Eilat 2014 | 320 Pages | ISBN: 1861059744 | EPUB | 3 MB The failure of the marriage between Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes has always been considered from one of two conflicting viewpoints: hers or his. Missing for more than four decades has been a third perspective on the events that brought their marriage to its ill-fated end, the story of another-the other-woman: Hughes' mistress Assia Wevill. Like Plath before her, Assia shared her life with Hughes for seven years, until she took her own life and that of their daughter at the age of forty-two, in a manner that nearly replicated Plath's suicide six years earlier. Drawing on previously unavailable documents and private papers, including Assia's diaries and her intimate correspondence with Hughes, this book shows the vital influence Assia exerted on the poet and his work, and the uneasy life they shared under the long shadow of Plath. A Lover of Unreason is the first-ever full-length biography of Assia Wevill. It casts a keen light, and explores the emergence of a singular twentieth-century woman. Three-times divorcée, career woman, mistress, and single mother, Assia Wevill openly defied the conventions of a censorious pre-feminist Britain and mesmerized men and women alike with her quick-mind and exotic beauty. ![]() Free Download A Jungian Inquiry into the American Psyche By Ipek S. Burnett 2019 | 144 Pages | ISBN: 0367192772 | EPUB | 1 MB In A Jungian Inquiry into the American Psyche: The Violence of Innocence, Ipek Burnett's penetrating cultural criticism enriched with psychoanalytical and Jungian insight offers a timely interrogation of national consciousness in the United States.Through evocative storytelling, Burnett unpacks the images and myths that run deep in the American psyche―from that of the New World, the city upon a hill, to the Manifest Destiny, the melting pot, and the pursuit of happiness. Against this backdrop, she investigates the vicious cycles of innocence and violence that have dominated American history and continue to reinforce systematic oppression in America, evident in racial and economic inequality, xenophobia, materialism, and more. Burnett's thought-provoking analysis exposes the ways in which psychological defenses such as historical amnesia, projection, denial, and dissociation work on a collective level, helping America avoid a confrontation with these violent truths of its past and present circumstances, and its national character. With its seamless multidisciplinary approach and revealing insight, this book will be of great interest to psychologists, scholars, and students of Jungian and post-Jungian thought, depth psychology, and cultural and American studies. Eloquent and accessible, it will engage readers who strive to be self-reflective, well-informed global citizens. ![]() Free Download Gary Thomas Scott, "A Guide to Civil War Washington, D.C.: The Capital of the Union" English | 2013 | ISBN: 160949847X, 1540224996 | EPUB | pages: 128 | 4.6 mb Read the history of the CIvil War from the perspective of the Washington DC capital. ![]() Free Download A Companion to Martin Scorsese (Wiley-Blackwell Companions to Film Directors), Revised Edition edited by Aaron Baker English | May 4, 2021 | ISBN: 1119685621 | True EPUB | 528 pages | 6.8 MB A Companion to Martin Scorsese, Revised Edition is a comprehensive collection of original essays assessing the career of one of America's most prominent contemporary filmmakers. |
