The men who launched these exploits from Andalusia to the snowy fields of Ukraine-Colonel Rafael del Riego, General Guglielmo Pepe, General Alexandros Ypsilanti, and Colonel Sergei Muraviev-Apostol-all hoped to overturn the old order. Over the next six years, their revolutions ended in failure. The men who led them became martyrs. ![]() Brian P. Levack, "The Formation of the British State: England, Scotland, and the Union, 1603-1707" English | ISBN: 0198201133 | | 272 pages | PDF | 37 MB Between the Union of the Crowns in 1603 and the Union of Parliaments in 1707, numerous proposals were made to strengthen relations between England and Scotland. Here, Brian P. Levack draws on a large body of pamphlet literature, state papers, and parliamentary records to explore the 17th- and early 18th-century schemes to unite the political, legal, religious, economic, and social elements of the two countries. An important contribution to English and Scottish history, The Formation of the British State sheds new light on how the British state acquired many of the features it still posseses today, and why it differed significantly from both the English and the Scottish states out of which it was formed. ![]() The Fascinating Animal Book for Kids: 500 Wild Facts! by Ginjer Clarke English | January 21, 2020 | ISBN: 1646111494 | 210 pages | Rar (PDF, AZW3) | 84 Mb From anglerfish to zebras―500 awesome animal facts for kids ages 9 to 12 ![]() The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality By Brian Greene 2004 | 740 Pages | ISBN: 0375412883 | PDF | 3 MB This is simply another great book on the cosmos by Brian Greene. I previously read Greene's book "The Elegant Universe" and I think at enjoyed this one even more. Greene packs as enormous wealth of information in his books. Quite frankly, it takes me considerably longer to read one of his books than most other books I read because of the volume of new information I am learning. Greene has done a fantastic job of explaining the cosmos in this work. His explanations are detailed and lengthy enough to thoroughly convey the concepts discussed. There were many concepts that I read about in other books which were clearly delineated in this book, and I went away with a much better understanding. Green covers a wealth of information about the cosmos such as wave probability, uncertainty, spin, entanglement, the flow and direction of time, quantum erasure, decoherence, symmetry, the various forces of nature (strong, weak, electromagnetic, gravity), Higgs field, the big bang, inflation, dark matter, dark energy, entropy, string theory, branes, time travel, the future, and much more.If you want to get a good education about the universe we live in, I high recommend Green's books. ![]() The Experimental Fire: Inventing English Alchemy, 1300-1700 (Synthesis) by Jennifer M. Rampling 2020 | ISBN: 022671070X | English | 416 pages | PDF | 9 MB In medieval and early modern Europe, the practice of alchemy promised extraordinary physical transformations. Who would not be amazed to see base metals turned into silver and gold, hard iron into soft water, and deadly poison into elixirs that could heal the human body? To defend such claims, alchemists turned to the past, scouring ancient books for evidence of a lost alchemical heritage and seeking to translate their secret language and obscure imagery into replicable, practical effects. ![]() The Evolution Deceit By Harun Yahya 1999 | 277 Pages | ISBN: 1897940971 | PDF | 4 MB No rational argument will have a rational effect on a man who does not want to adopt a rational attitude.Hallucinatory bilge beyond redemption. The most fascinating aspect of this hack's writing is where he obtains tens of millions of dollars necessary to flood both Europe and Americas with this shameless fraud. Bet is on Salafist petro-dollars from the Gulf. ![]() The Euro and Its Central Bank: Getting United after the Union By Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa 2004 | 283 Pages | ISBN: 0262162229 | PDF | 3 MB This history and analysis of the euro and the European Central Bank traces the process of European monetary integration from its beginnings as a utopian vision in the aftermath of World War II through the establishment of a single currency managed by a central bank. Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa, a central banker who has been involved in the making of European monetary unification since 1979, offers an accessible guide to the euro and the European Central Bank for scholars, students, and the general reader, discussing the related economic, financial, monetary, and international political issues. In the process he also provides an overview of central banking in general and the multiple activities of a central bank; as the case of the European Central Bank illustrates, central banking involves not only monetary analysis and policy but much else, including banknote printing and handling, market operations, payment systems, bank supervision, and coordinating with other public institutions. Padoa-Schioppa begins with the historical background of European monetary integration, starting with the 1957 Treaty of Rome, which lay the foundation for the Common Market, and covering the 1992 Maastricht Treaty, the development of an anchor currency, and the "euroskepticism" of the U.K. Subsequent chapters are devoted to economic policy, monetary policy, the euro as unifier in the financial system, the payment system, the euro as an international actor outside "euroland," and the challenges ahead for the still relatively young project of European monetary integration. ![]() The Essential Carnivore Diet Cookbook: 60 Delicious Recipes for Healing and Weight Loss by Vivica Menegaz, Erin Blevins English | ISBN: 1645672638 | 168 pages | EPUB | January 19, 2021 | 68 Mb The Hearty Approach to Ultimate Health ![]() Martin L.
