CliffsAP Biology (Cliffs Ap Biology)
CliffsAP Biology (Cliffs Ap Biology) By Phillip E. Pack Ph.D.
2007 | 363 Pages | ISBN: 0470097647 | PDF | 7 MB
If you are searching for a review book or the AP Biology exam, look no further.. you need to buy this book right now!I recently took the Biology exam and this book has helped me learn material I was not taught in class, or review material I had forgotten. What I like about this book is that every section was not overcrowded with information. All the chapters were short (6-40 pages about) and to the point. All of the topics were explained perfectly that I was never confused about what I was reading. The book comes with useful sample questions at the end of each section so you can test yourself, and the questions and explanations are very helpful. I actually saw one question from the review book on my AP Exam, so you know their information is reliable. The one thing I did not like about this book was the lack of figures, or graphics. I am a visual learner and I would have preferred more descriptive pictures, such as the ones in my actual AP BIO textbook, to better understand concepts. The figures they had were vague. Anyway, they did a great job at enlightening me about plants, a subject I did not learn in class but was prevalent on the exam. Please choose this book for its benefits are enormous and you are guaranteed a 4 or a 5 if you read this book in depth.

Efforts to resolve the recent financial crisis have obscured a more deeply rooted financialization crisis that impacts not only the market economy but also the vital civic and moral traditions that support it. This book reveals the cultural influence of finance in reshaping the foundations of American civil society and proposes a return to certain "first principles" of the Republic to restore the nation's economic vision.

Cicero The Philosophy of a Roman Sceptic
Cicero: The Philosophy of a Roman Sceptic (Philosophy in the Roman World) by Raphael Woolf
2015 | ISBN: 1844658414, 1844658406 | English | 268 pages | EPUB | 0.5 MB
Cicero's philosophical works introduced Latin audiences to the ideas of the Stoics, Epicureans and other schools and figures of the post-Aristotelian period, thus influencing the transmission of those ideas through later history. While Cicero's value as documentary evidence for the Hellenistic schools is unquestioned, Cicero: The Philosophy of a Roman Sceptic explores his writings as works of philosophy that do more than simply synthesize the thought of others, but instead offer a unique viewpoint of their own. In this volume Raphael Woolf describes and evaluates Cicero's philosophical achievements, paying particular attention to his relation to those philosophers he draws upon in his works, his Romanizing of Greek philosophy, and his own sceptical and dialectical outlook. The volume aims, using the best tools of philosophical, philological and historical analysis, to do Cicero justice as a distinctive philosophical voice.
